I really don't see the problem with "nobodies", it's always the song, not the act, and you hearing of people does not mean they don't have talent. That you never heard of him doesn't mean he's a nobod

  • This year also has the additional notion that anyone with a fan base would surely just be making themselves a lamb to the slaughter, given many are boycotting this year due to Israel’s participation.

Who exactly had heard of Kalush, Nemo, JJ before Eurovision? Case closed.

It is such a weird experience that the UK entry is the song fully embodying the energy and hype I love the contest for. Obsessed.

In some ways it doesn't matter where we finish when we're trying something this zanily brilliant, and on another, seeing this smash the televoting would be so cathartic and I hope it happens.

also it helps keep to my pledge to not vote if my favourite entry actually is the British entry (pending actually hearing any other entry lmao)

This is beginning to slap hard I fear

This actually sounds quite a bit better in a proper high quality version, maybe I should've waited before judging.

A million percent this.

It really doesn't sound like the flop I thought it sounded like!

It's a flop, but it's a good risk! BBC should be doin this every year. Send a big, brassy bollywood song next, then Gaelic, then Welsh, then a pirate song and then a song with digaridoos and chants!! Boring, happy pop songs, or uplifting ballads, every year was just ... not it.

Im not sure what i think of this yet, but i think its a good gamble from the UK and i think its the type of entry that will either come top 5 or bottom 5 but no middle.

Mixed feelings, as some of the lyrics are pretty cringe, but that synth sound is right up my street. Parts of it remind me of one of my BuzzJack Song Contest spin-off entries - 'Scorpius' by Op:l bast*rds. I applaud the general direction but wish the lyrics could be tweaked a bit in places.

I just can't get past the:

Ah, if only there was a language that I could count in
That would make me feel better

It makes me physically recoil every time. So, while I like where the song gets to, I don't know how I can't cringe each time and I struggle to see a world where Europe doesn't too.

It has definately something - but did not feel it much during the first listen. Regarding last place my bets are on Germany - we should have sent wavvyboy.

The food references sound definitely influenced by Europapa and Espresso Machiatta.

Yeah, I’m hooked. My favourite entry in years. I really hope it comes top 10.

This is very addictive and catchy, and some wonderful production, the lyrics are dreadful, but honestly probably no worse than some other finalists I've heard. Quite impressed with it, I knew he had it in him, remains to be seen how well it will do (with the discourse this year, it's hard to know where the votes will go), but a step in the right direction.
