Puking Over was the only song not on Spotify, but that means we all were able to watch the very fun video to the Stenchman song sent by DaTilt, which currently is 23rd.

DaTilt is another Crystal Castles fan, so a silver here means they move into a dominant position at the top, 10 points ahead of A*Teens. But the 12 goes to Lucky Twice, who are back up to 7th place. Jeans Team are up to 4th place now after scoring consistently with the last few voters and we rejoice as Julien Doré’s mammoth drought comes to an end.

Banger from Till there (shame it's another song contest entry from you that isn't on Spotify so will need to source a local file for my playlist again) - reminded me a bit of 'Mahalageasca' which I sent to one of the BJSC Movies spinoffs (from Borat lol).

So, it was Awardinary that sent the song that probably best fit the contest brief. Need a party bop? Look no further than The Cheeky Girls, with no less than a Top of the Pops Saturday live performance of an album track with the same melody as the 1971 No.1 Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep. Iconic choice indeed, and maybe no surprise to see it actually doing pretty well?

Anyway, Awardinary awarded 12 points to French Affair, their second of the evening, which puts them well into contention as they climb to third place! Jeans Team and White Stripes are the other current top ten entries supported, while Submarine return to the top ten!

I somehow didn't notice the 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep' melody on my first listen (heard it the second time after Jade pointing it out to me x).

It was me behind the German electronic track Keine Melodien…1,2,3,4, from 2000! For me this infectious track with great production is cut from the same cloth as the likes of Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation from the same year. Indeed both are on the brilliant compilation When The 2000s Clashed, which I bought last year and which I highly recommend. I nearly sent it as my AQ entry to BJSC 180, maybe I should have done judging by how well it has been received (or sent it in place of the DNQ last month oops). Thank you to all the voters so far, especially for the three gold medals!

Anyway, my 12 was to the fantastic David by GusGus (thank you diva/toaster for the discovery!) and my 10 goes to the criminally underrated and incredibly fun and charming Coco Câline – what on earth is it doing in the bottom three? The legendary Bardot of course also get a medal. I didn’t vote for Crystal Castles but three points for A*Teens is enough to put them back in the joint lead, while French Affair are now only three points away too. It’s very much all to play for!
