She's basically saying screw all the numbers discussions and label meddling, I'm going back to making what I love to make and I want to bestow that to Sabrina. And I think Sabrina's part works well for me in part because it fits Sabrina so well. In her acceptance speech for the Variety Hitmaker of the Year award last year, she said that when she started writing at the age of 10, she didnt care about making hits, it was just about what sounded good to her. And then her old label pressured her so much into making hits that she lost that feeling and it hurt her career. It was only when she returned back to the mindset of making what sounded good and ignoring what anyone else thinks that she started to succeed. So Sabrina being in this feels so intentional, maybe even like Sabrina had options of what to choose and picked the song that spoke to her.

Friday at 15:441 day Jack just played a clip on the chart show and said he fully expects it to be challenging for #1 next week. How I'd love for him to be right!
Friday at 15:501 day Still think we need to lower our expectations! Comments like that don't help and I don't want a narrative of "flop!!1" if it "only" gets to ~#29?

Friday at 22:251 day At 67 all these years into her career, I’d be happy with top 40! Especially given it’s been 11 years since she had a top 40 as a lead artist. Obviously Sabrina will buoy it but I am keeping myself at a realistic level of hope lol
Friday at 23:101 day How often does Apple generally tend to update? I wanna keep my eye on its progress.Looking forward to tomorrow's Spotify update. That should at least give us some idea where it's heading.
