Also on a side note, I know it doesn’t happen that very frequently where people get bored of songs from semis to finals, but it’s always sad to see 2 set of 12 in semis resulted with zero points in finals

Congrats @dandy* - I really started to feel towards the end of the week that Joshua was just a big SyncTube bubble and would just get a cute mid top 10 position but I am very happy to be wrong about that <3 me giving it 12 points to mark the end of my streak of 12 winners in a row that I didn't vote for, very neat x

I did feel quietly confident that I was being mostly underpredicted so yay for my instincts being right kind of (although I was really hoping for a top 10 here ngl so aw at just missing out by the one place - pending auditing the votes and conveniently finding 9 extra points for myself). From the bits and pieces of the votes that I skimmed over on my phone while I was out I saw some votes coming from unexpected people and some others that I was pretty disappointed to be snubbed by - largely a repeat of The Faint's performance in Club Bizarre as it were (with that also falling a little short of a top 10 position that I was probably a bit too confident in hoping for). I'll catch up properly and give my thanks to everyone another time when I am more awake but a quick <3 to @dhwe for remembering to vote and providing what I think was my only 18!

Well, congrats dandy! A spoken word poem based on a sociopolitical allegory is not something I'd ever expect to translate to BJSC success, but I'm so pleased to see that indeed being that unique is all you need, wonderful to see my 18 win and surely going down as an all time classic winner.

Thanks for the last few big votes from Pagasa (was worried you wouldn't vote!), Trifoski and Ennea amongst others, 22nd (pending Brer investigation) is excellent to see especially when I got blanket bottom 10 predictions, it was a bit of a random entry when I couldn't find anything, but it's a cult classic so pleased to see a good reception. I may well finally have a 2026 entry next time so let's see how that goes x

Great to see Greenfroze stay top 5, always love piano instrumentals and glad they have a solid fanbase here and this Ashton entry was their best in a while. Dalisska and Danaeviia in the top 20 is good to see but otherwise, a lot of my votes are a bit lower than I'd have liked, Aeroche are really getting robbed these last few contests x

Wow. Well, despite the hype in the odds thread etc, I really didn't think that Joshua would win at all and just thought it was a few of our more vocal participants who were on board with it!! I was busy catching up on the thread just now and even then I was convinced that John was building it up to have it get virtually no more points from the scoreboard freeze onwards for an oh so dramatic twist haha. It's been really lovely this contest to see a song I felt was more than likely going to DNQ take on a life of its own, the best types of entries in this contest are when you just enter something you love that then unexpectedly translates to others as well - even though I know this will have been very polar and that there will likely be just as many people who would probably rank it towards last... as I said in the confirmations thread, Mr D* really did respond with “you know you really do subject me to some shit at times” when I played it to him - I've just told him it won and he's very much annoyed with you all xx

I've double checked my scores and still get myself on 170 points rather than 175. The discrepancy came between the scoreboards after 35 and 40 votes.

Guess that could push me down to 19th (although pending other changes could drop further I guess, so I'll wait patiently for the final final scoreboard for my own fate...)
