I listened to the first half on my way into work and I am liking what I've heard so far, second half on the way home! 😊

Madonna thought she could just put on some funky house and acid bass and I would be able to keep listening to the rest of the album?

It's pretty awesome so far and will comment more later, but I will say that right now

On my first listenthrough of this now and some true standouts already (besides IFSF and BYL):

Everything

Danceteria

Love Sensation

Read My Lips

Bizarre

Insane production and pacing. No real complaints so far other than not being so fussed on tracks 2 and 3.

Really enjoying this, Fragile is the absolute one for me

cheeseblock

My fav. Good For The Soul, One Step Away, Danceteria and Bizarre

I'm not really feeling this on first listen, I really hope it grows with more listens. The production is great but I wanted more melodies and less spoken parts.

'Bizarre' and 'Read My Lips' however are both brilliant, easily my two standout tracks!

LOVING the album.

It is classic, self-referencing, a perfect natural continuation of the first album, fresh-sounding, lyrically on point, beautifully sung, sublime production and timeless sounding.

There are so many moments I am loving (Fragile appreciation please!)

Agree with this to some extent. Considering how great the execution is, the material (individual songs) could be stronger.

What I am loving most is that this feels like what Madonna was great at for about 2.5 decades: an album. A shared collective vision and statement told from start to end with a consistent theme and vibe running through it. Hard Candy was perhaps her last album to even attempt this, whereas MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X (to a lesser extent), felt very disjointed and more "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks". Madame X tried to have a vision but I don't think it was executed well in retrospect.

What makes Madonna great is her ability to craft an entire era through an album. It is what so many popstars try to do (but can't execute it to her standard).

This feels like it belongs with her back catalogue firmly and proves what makes Madonna, Madonna.

I’m actually blown away…. It’s as good as Confessions for me, with a little ROL thrown in too. Easily one of my top 5 M albums of all time.

Just so many magical moments on the album…

And L.E.S Girls is beyond lovely.

#1 on the UK Apple Music STREAMING chart!!

This is a great sign this is actually getting streams?!?! 🤩

EDIT: Seen I was beaten to it but still wow at this. I honestly thought this might show up at like #10 maybe on first day hype but not #1!
