I assume the spike in interest for MJ increased sales of Number Ones. Plus when streams of songs from the soundtrack like Billie Jean are removed from both compilations , the streaming advantage of having lots of tracks was not enough for The Essential to overcome the sales advantage of Number Ones. When it comes to growing up in public, the man known worldwide as the King of Pop wrote the book. Born in Gary, IN, in 1958, Michael Jackson became the biggest-selling, most broadly beloved singer on the planet, but when he started his career, he was just the kid trying to catch up with his big brothers. In 1964 he started playing percussion in The Jackson Brothers, but by the time they became the Jackson 5 the following year, little Michael was already contributing lead vocals. Noah Kahan pens tenderhearted meditations on life’s ups and downs that are rustic enough for country cabins yet infectious enough for the pop charts. The singer-songwriter was born in 1997 and grew up on a farm in Vermont. He spent his youth refining his folk picking on guitar, banjo and mandolin while transforming his voice into the raspy falsetto captured on his debut hit, 2017's "Hurt Somebody". Yeah, but I mean the remix is/was doing really well, I saw it in the top 200 on Spotify a lot so it's boosting the chart position every week.
