I don't have any immediate ideas for this as I wasn't yet paying attention to music (certainly not anything outside the very mainstream) in 2006 so will need to do a search but hopefully it might be a slightly easier task than having to find a song from 1977 for TBSCITW...E!

I didn’t specifically ask 2nd to 7th apart from Scene, but Addy! and gooddelta are the previous two hosts and Chez had TBSCITWE on his hands, and Juan Carlos and RobBot have only participated a couple of times. So I thought it would be easier to keep this one in the mod team.

Thanks to the 18 participants so far. The first 16 entries from Thursday have survived the first mod screening. Hopefully we can get to 20 soon!

Absolutely love 2006 for music, but I'm away this weekend/early next week and have already entered BJSC so will really struggle for time to listen, sorry! 😔

I’m actually struggling to find something I want to send, so not a vintage year for me personally, but I will submit before the deadline (and probably flop).

I’m really excited for this. I’m going to be cutting it fine deadline wise for the votes, but 2006 was such a great year for me and it’s songs were great too.

Actually found something I used to play a lot on my iPod (1st generation) , so overall feeling very happy and nostalgic with my choice <3

Love this idea. I wonder if we could do anniversary Bop Idols ever year. Maybe two? We could do a 2001 later in the year marking 25 years. Not that it’s a BuzzJack anniversary or anything, do we need a good excuse for a Bop Idol? We could then do 2007 and 2002 next year and so on.
