Been following Billy Locketts story on socials, really rooting for him to chart tomorrow.

It’s also been really interesting him (and his mum) announcing the sales each day.

As of 4pm today he’d sold 1,208 CDs, 874 vinyl and 504 download lanyards had been activated so 2,586 sales - not including HMV or Rough Trade where he done signings or iTunes where he’s been at #1 for a few days this week (currently #2).

Should be Top 65 at the least based on the direct sales they have got.

New Religion indeed on ACR 💔 #95 on the midweeks

  • Sorry what? If anything I'd have said it was self indulgent for her to perform it all the time considering it's... not her song? Lol

I will be holding Fleetwood Mac personally responsible and I demand a notes app apology from Stevie Nicks for blocking song of the year contender New Religion from the top 40 x (I'm joking) (mostly)

I wouldnt be suprised if shes pushing something else by the time the album swings around

Although saying that the albums supposedly split into 2 halves

Girl so in love tracks 1 -7

You seem pretty sad tracks 8-13

Maybe she could have dual singles ala Beyonce

I would imagine she’ll be pushing something else alongside the album, it’s only 2 week away, but when she dropped guts get him back! Was pushed as a single with the albums release but bad idea right also reached its chart peak that same week so I could see that happening, potentially the cure boosted to no1 plus album release single in the top 5. It’ll all depend on what gets pushed and if it clicks with the gp

Yeah hope he does it - he’s always come across as a nice lad to me (he’s local to me and my other half works with someone connected to him so have seen him perform live a few times)

Really love the song Cut Me Off - with a great feature from Northants Sings Out

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I really enjoy so many of the singles Alex Warren has released (or rather the tracks that Spotify has pushed on me)… but Ordinary is one of the few songs of his that I’ve never understood the popularity of.

So I’m very supportive of Alex’s success in general.

Funnily enough only Ordinary (and for a short time Fever Dream) have been the only Alex songs I enjoyed but I've been blackmailed into not liking those now 😂 I agree with everyone else dubbing the rest of his catalogue as boring uninspired slop but didn't think Ordinary was too bad.

Honestly have really enjoyed his honesty in sharing his tour numbers and sales. I really hope for him that it ends in a somewhat decent chart position, he comes across very well and having his mum with him has been a lot of fun to see.

I'm guessing around 50-55.
