I caught it today. I have a lot of love for the franchise anyway.

I actually really enjoyed it. The core storyline of Bonnie struggling to make friends hit close to home and I really liked the little comedic bits. Loved the bit with the Buzz Lightyears flying.

I thought it was really sweet and just reinforced that I find this franchise so warm and incredibly consistent.

I did think the main flaw for me was that the story seemed a bit bloated and thought some of the editing was quite knee-jerky in places and I wasn’t a fan that the main set of toys were pished to the side as much as they were either (I missed the Aliens and Rex!) but overall, a really warm and nice movie.

I want to watch this, but I'll probably wait for it to come to Disney+.

Also I've only really seen the first two movies properly and bits of the third movie. So I'd want to watch all four properly first.

I really enjoyed it , tue main 2 messages about struggling to make friends and EVERYONE spending too much time on devices not just kids were definitely on the nose

I dont think they'll ever top the original trilogy but it was still a very good enjoyable film

lovely seeing the old friends again, and deals with a modern topic when it comes to kids and making friends in the ipad generations - or as grown-ups like to see it, babysitting devices while you do other stuff - it's Jessie's film, pretty much, but it's not as fun as TS4, nor as good as the first trilogy. 6/10. Still worth seeing though.

Slinky voice actor isnt the same and neither of the 2 potato heads due to original actors dieing, but they are minor characters in this one anyway

Yeh I saw it and thought the potato heads were slightly different and knew some of the actors were older even when it started so assumed some had passed away 😕

That's so sad about some of the voice actors, I wasn't aware!

I saw this and I enjoyed it, I thought it was better than 4 had been but not touching the first 3 at all. I agree with a comment made above that it was a bit bloated at times, I felt it took a while to really get going, but it was still a fun watch. I will probably watch it again at some point when it comes out on Disney+.

Yeah it is sad about some of tbe voice actors but unfortunately the franchise is 31 years old and sadly these things are inevitable

I didnt think it was bloated personally I thought it was the opposite but I do agree the original 3 will never be topped , its still a great film

Yeh it tried to be contemporary with the social media or tablet use for kids, emotional with the Bonnie trying to make friends and Jessie’s history and fun with all the Buzz Light years marching (my wee lad loved that)!

I've never seen any of the Toy Story movies 🫠 Planning to go see this one with Sabrewulf though, maybe next week if it's still on.

Yeah, I'm planning to watch them! We already went to see this fifth one on Saturday, it was sweet ❤️

Id argue you could watch it standalone and it all makes perfect sense, dont get me wrong the previous 4 are always worth a rematch any time you can

Yeah, I found it fine to watch without having seen any of the others! Like I said, I will watch the other four at some point though. Knowing me I might end up spreading them out haha as I'm not much of a binge-watcher!

The first three were fantastic, definitely watch them! Although no idea whether they will seem as good now in retrospect if you don’t have the nostalgia of seeing them at the time… hopefully they still stand up though
