June 29Jun 29 I don't know. Brazil probably has more individual quality than Japan, but there's something special about the Japanese when it comes to football, they've become a really respected team, and I felt they could have gone further. Brazil, on the other hand, didn't look very convincing throughout the tournament and right now I'm sad. Edited June 29Jun 29 by nine¾
June 29Jun 29 fuck's sake like there was good play from Brazil in the second half but this Japanese team deserved far better than that, they had them wrapped up in the first half.
June 29Jun 29 I thought Brazil deserved it. I don't feel like Japan have lived up to the expectations at all in this tournament.

A team or individuals beat a Japanese team of hard workers.

June 29Jun 29 It's just delaying the inevitable with Brazil, someone will knock them out of the tournament. They played much better in the 2nd half though today.

June 29Jun 29 Author Paraguay have the edge, and keeping it, by looks of it. Germany seems to be smash and grab, getting nowhere fast, although it's early days yet.
June 29Jun 29 Waking up to Paraguay leading 1-0 at half time against Germany wasn’t something I was expecting to see.

June 29Jun 29 I wasn’t too fussed with the Brazil v Japan result. I didn’t mind either team team progressing.
June 29Jun 29 Germany v Paraguay has been grim so far. No real sign that Germany have been woken up by falling behind.
