I found it a bit clunky to be honest! I like what Charli was going for and her lyrics but didn’t feel like it mixed into the original track that well?

Hope with the power of physicals it can get a new peak, especially as sales are so low!

The original Danceteria is my Song of the Year so far, so I was a little concerned this would just ruin that.

However, although it doesn't reach the dizzy heights of the Madonna solo, and i feel a couple of Charli's lyrics are a little clunky, it's is pretty much a banger and anything which puts the song back in the forefront and gets it more attention is welcome by me.

It's fun that this exists and it doesn't really TAKE AWAY from the original, but I don't think there's much reason for me to play this over the original. The outro is the best part, but other than that, it's just a guest verse on a song that's already a 10/10 already, so it doesn't really add anything either.

Madonna achieves her milestone 10th career No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, and her third from Confessions II, as “Danceteria” jumps 6-1 on the Oct. 3-dated ranking.

Released July 3 alongside the album, “Danceteria” reaches the top with a 34% increase in plays among the chart’s 24/7 dance reporters during the Sept. 18-24 tracking week, according to Luminate.

I was worried they'd alter the production and ruin the vibe, so I'm glad they haven't! Although the structure does feel a little bit odd admittedly.

I like how the original is an autobiographical story of how Madonna started out and got her break in the industry, and now it's about how Charli started out. Cool twist!

Debuts at #100 on the UK Spotify Chart with 100,141 streams.

A top 100 appearance is great! I am hoping it charts top 40 this week.

With the ACR and 3 song rules in effect, Danceteria Afterhours is at #35 on Spotify.

Its still 5 at iTunes too and on apple so if it doesn't have a too bad drop there's hope it will be

That's way better than I expected! Fingers crossed they release the CD's this week to give it the best chance!

The Madonna site states the CDs will be shipped by 2nd October, so defo looking like they'll contribute to this week's chart.

There's also a competition to win a signed CD.

I wonder if VMAs will give it any sort of boost?
