I was surprised how low down ‘hate timylm’ was today - though just about above Ordinary - so almost certainly top 6 when it gets reset. On an irrelevant note - I still can’t believe ‘Man I Need’ has spent 42 weeks inside the top 3 of the Audio Streaming Chart (and 34 in the top 2).

9 hours ago9 hr Would be a massive shame if Choosin Texas didn't go to No1! It's huge and almost perfection.

8 hours ago8 hr When its a long running single just to see it hop to another country and become another long running single there it just feels like an infection to the charts. To get rid of rmi and be replaced with texas for weeks no thanks

7 hours ago7 hr I'd be gobsmacked if Choosin' Texas became a long-running #1 here, we'd have to have an even drier period than we're in given it doesn't seem to be making major progress upwards. If it did get there, it'd be because Rein Me In and Dai Dai go to ACR and it's stayed ahead of the rest, but for a long-running #1 to happen on sub-30k sales would require an extreme dry period. It's surprised me by making steady progress for so long, so you never know, but last week it was only a couple of thousand sales above where it was when it first entered the top 10 at #9.
7 hours ago7 hr Maybe an article in The Guardian would be more convincing than the tweets I shared (and got slated for) in the sales thread? https://www.theguardian.com/music/2026/aug/05/demise-monoculture-why-have-so-many-never-heard-uk-record-breaking-no-1-single-sam-fender-olivia-dean
