7 hours ago7 hr Oh that's amazing...I always felt like Dua's 'Levitating' never showed up on any Most Streamed Songs lists because of 2 versions counted separated, where in fact combined it has almost 4 billion streams

Spotify has occasionally briefly combined remixes of songs before separating them again before. I can't find any articles announcing this being an intentional change unless I'm just not searching the right keywords. (And surely if it was then it would happen to all songs at once rather than just a few random ones)
3 hours ago3 hr Also I was thinking Fontaines' showing on Apple actually felt a little bit underwhelming - that Spotify debut is more what I thought they might manage! (Whether it maintains anything close to that for more than one day is a different question of course x)

I think this time there were quite a lot of songs (dozens, potentially hundreds) that got combined and some jumped on a bandwagon of assuming it was an update Spotify was rolling out (I jumped on the bandwagon as well it seems!). I can't find anything official from Spotify either.
