August 31Aug 31 'Israelism' in a different song contest. 'Capitalism' in here. The effect of that one song.
August 31Aug 31 Narcotic is one of the biggest songs of the 90s in Europe with over 300m streams, a true nugget
August 31Aug 31 Think there are only about 4 artists this time that I've ever heard of before!Hiipe (and sent over my recap timings, good to see you are making one of those - in most recent song contests I've listened to Spotify previews as a makeshift recap but for some reason the embedded Spotify playlists now play the songs in full rather than just clips so that trick doesn't work any more!)I see the longest song being immediately followed by the shortest song again 1 minute ago, gooddelta said:Narcotic is one of the biggest songs of the 90s in Europe with over 300m streams, a true nugget ...that wasn't one of the artists I'd heard of though!

Also YouNotUs had a smash cover of it a few years ago. It's one of those classic riffs that has now been used as a rock anthem, an early 2010s club banger and late 2010s tropical house.
August 31Aug 31 WOW, I was *this* close to sending Narcotic to BJSC a couple of months ago!It was a must-have at the (alternative) club we used to go to and all the house parties! ❤️ A real classic!
August 31Aug 31 'Narcotic' is missing from the AM playlist btw (there do seem to be several versions of it available there though)
August 31Aug 31 I imagine everyone's heard the voice of John Fogerty before at least if not know his name as he's the Creedence Clearwater singerbesides him I'd only heard of The Joy Formidable before as they had a song I liked on Radio 1 way back in the day ('Whirring'), oh my at them having a 15 minute song, hopefully it deserves its length more than the two abnormally long BJSC songs from last month...\not familiar with the 300m+ streams song
August 31Aug 31 Oh I love a place to bury strangers, not heard that particular song tho. Apart from that I only know two other artists besides mine
September 1Sep 1 At least five there I've seen live (including my own) and two more I'm familiar with so a stack load I don't know. John Fogerty sticks out like a neon sign at first glance
