I did also rank Kate in 5th

But she has some killer songs to bring to Gamu and potentially beyond

Impressive that Zara made it through with a song not widely available! Banger though <3

Calvin, Kate and Years & Years coming back then?

EDIT: I really think it shouldn't be split by categories to come back (you're heading to the finals - if you can't make it beyond your category...) but it is what it is and the majority voted for it. Excited for the Gamu round!

Some insanely big hits to come then!

I did expect Kate to go out there sadly as it was very experimental, however (and I appreciate it's laughable now that I say this about almost every act that has gone out so far), she will be back through Gamu!!! I think there's a good chance all three of this week's exits will just go straight back actually, all have mega popular songs to play.

  1. Sophie Ellis-Bextor

  2. Adele

  3. Marina

  4. Zara Larsson

  5. Kate Bush

Yeah, knew that would happen, not a great round for my favourites </3 I don't blame them though as apart from maybe Fontaines, this would've been a pretty round to pick.

The Females will definitely be more competitive in the Gamu round, but Kate's certainly got a song that'll give her a headstart on that hill (and that's that for all my puns you'll be glad to hear x)

That is my prediction too... maybe Vengaboys.

By the sound of it Depeche Mode are probably more favoured that Y&Y for the groups!

Pff. Taste is severely lacking this round. Will be a bit funny if it turns out this entire round is a wash with Depeche Mode, Calvin Harris and Kate Bush all playing their obvious trump cards and coming right back though.

1 Adele 2 Kate (I think? Might have been the other way round lol) 3 Sophie 4 MARINA 5 Zara for me. It was the strongest of the rounds, the Zara song was still not too bad. We are denied the prospect of her being the first Pop Factor act to be eliminated 3 times though cheeseblock

Well time to whip out the song I've been saving for the Wagner round anyway. (Or is it?)

Well that couldn’t have gone much worse relative to my votes oops.

1 Kate

2 Marina

3 Sophie

4 Adele

5 Zara

1 Sam F

2 Calvin

3 Tom

4 Darin

5 Sam S

1 Depeche Mode

2 Fontaines

3 New Order

4 Bananarama

5 Texas

Unfortunately for Calvin Harris, Kate Bush and Depeche Mode their time in the competition has come to an end.

Thank you all for the music!

BUT, they still have the chance to return and claim The Gamu Nhengu Gold Card!

And that time is NOW...

The TOP 12 through to Live Shows, it's time to put your feet up as the 24 eliminated artists compete to return to the competition alongside you!

For the 24 eliminated artists:

CONFIRM YOUR SONG CHOICE FOR THE GAMU NHENGU GOLD CARD HERE BY 17:59 TOMORROW

Wow, what a bloodbath of a night but definitely looks like two of them will be coming back at the very least though, possibly all three!

My votes were:

Groups

  1. Bananarama

  2. New Order

  3. Texas

  4. Depeche Mode

  5. Fontaines DC

Think it is the first time I've put Fontaines last and was certainly the highest New Order have ranked for me (great song), it almost took my first place!

Males

  1. Darin

  2. Tom Grennen

  3. Sam Fender

  4. Sam Smith

  5. Calvin Harris

Think Sam S and Calvin have played a blinder throughout but they clearly had limited choices here and was reflected in the submissions sadly. Loved all the top three songs and they really could have been in any order.

Females

  1. Adele

  2. Sophie

  3. Zara

  4. Marina

  5. Kate

Loved the Sophie one, was almost my first choice and the Zara demo was also really good. Adele's mentor was one jammy person in this round lol. The Marina and Kate ones were not for me, Marina just outranked Kate which pained me as I do adore Kate Bush, Never Forever is one of my favourite albums of all time and Hounds of Love and The Kick Inside are phenomenal too.

It was supposed to be Tom, because how in the hell now we are going to compete against all these BIG names in Gamu?!

OMG I just realized this year it’s going to be an artist from each group!!!

There’s still a chance I guess!!!

brat

Do we think people who have a male and female will actually fight for their spot or do we think they'll just accept that Calvin and Kate are through and send something else?

EDIT: I really can't think of what are the likely contenders to actually try and compete with the choices we are likely to think those two acts are going to send. Hmmmm.

That would be the wrong thing to do in my opinion, you might as well give it your best shot! Bleeding Love has a fantastic chance for instance amongst the more poppier voters, would be silly not to send it.
