It's SoundClash!

In this event we celebrate the one hit wonders of the 21st century so far.

In each round, two songs will go head to head to come out on top, with each credited artist only having a single UK Top 40 hit to their name. In each case, you're voting for your favourite song. The winning songs will then go into a grand collection of one hit wonders to be voted for once the opening rounds are complete.

These are the two songs going head to head this round;

Hoobastank – The Reason {#12, 2004} 🇺🇸

Hoobastank are an American rock band formed in California in 1994, known for their blend of alternative rock, post-grunge and melodic hard rock.

James Vincent McMorrow – Higher Love {#21, 2011} 🇮🇪

I'm not a perfect person...so I voted for Hoobastank.

The Reason is a strong and memorable rock song that I still hear now, so I voted for that.

Oh 100% 'The Reason' here. One I bought at the time even whilst was in my dip out of the charts phase. Great track!

I'VE FOUND A REASON FOR MEEEEEE

Hoobastank quite easily.

As surely as all the previous votes have said, Hoobastank is the only right choice here.

The Reason is such a tune!! Higher Love is a great cover but not as good as the former.

The Reason is top tier emotional indie pop.

Haha I've never seen such a one-sided one of these before! 21 v 0! (and rightly so)

Yes it's definitely Hoobastank
