All change from last year again as three auto-qualifying tracks quickly burn out. We don't talk about Bruno, nor vote for him clearly as the Encanto hit bombs 39-92. Following behind Wet Leg's Wet Dream down the same number of positions. Sadly BICEP also lose all their stream with Apricots falling from the tree 37-77. Abba also take a big hit with 'I Still Have Faith In You' which nearly joined their other comeback release in last year's top 40.

43 64 133 Regard, Troye Sivan & Tate McCrae - You

42 32 136 Majestic & Boney M. - Rasputin

41 ** 137 Måneskin - Beggin'

A couple more for the indie exodus, Coldplay lose stream with 'Coloratura' plummeting 30-66, Wolf Alice lose out 'How Can I Make It OK?' down 34-57 leaving just one of their other songs in contention. Chvrches drown out 28-52 despite guest artist Robert Smith having somewhat of a chart revival this year. Former finalists Go_A are shoved out 13-54 as their Eurovision performance clearly becomes a distant memory for many. A few dance hits will also need to be nominated next year as Fred again and Majestic make ten place drops each to exit.

Auto-Qualifiers

40 35 139 Mabel - Let Them Know

39 19 141 Wet Leg - Chaise Longue

38 ** 141 Anne-Marie & Little Mix - Kiss My (Uh Oh)

37 11 146 Glass Animals - Heat Waves

36 25 147 Ed Sheeran - Shivers

35 93 148 Kid LAROI - Without You

34 52 150 Marshmello & Jonas Brothers - Leave Before You Love Me

33 53 153 Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd - Moth to a Flame

32 69 160 Bebe Rexha - Sacrifice

31 24 163 Måneskin - I Wanna Be Your Slave

30 20 169 Anxiety - Meet Me At Our Spot

29 ** 171 Nathan Evans - Wellerman (Original / 220 KID & Billen Ted Remix)

28 23 177 Charli XCX - Good Ones

27 26 178 SZA - Good Days

26 ** 181 Agnes - Here Comes the Night

25 40 181 Lil Nas X - That's What I Want

24 27 181 ABBA - Don’t Shut Me Down

23 67 184 Agnes - 24 Hours

22 22 192 Joel Corry & Jax Jones (feat. Charli XCX & Saweetie) - Out Out

21 29 192 Camila Cabello - Don’t Go Yet

Wet Leg's bigger hit Chaise Longue also takes a big dive though not quite so dramatic as 19-39 is still just enough for an AQ spot. Also losing top 20 positions we have The Anxiety down 20-30 and Glass Animals taking the biggest hit within the top 40 down 11-37. Pop is back anyhow and not just of the chart hit kind as Agnes with the Pop Factor appearance assist lands 'Here Comes the Night' returning at 26th and '24 Hours' jumping 67-23. Bebe Rexha also sees a significant boost for 'Sacrifice' 69-32. The Kid LAROI also gains quite a few new fans for 'Without You' leaping 93-35. Of the many top 40 entries here Swedish House Mafia have my personal favourite, their Weeknd collab up 53-33. Marshmello & JoBros have a similar climb 52-34. Two other big hits of the year are remembered about this time around; Nathan Evans' sea shanty revival effort 'Wellerman' enters at 29th and Anne-Marie's Lumidee interpolation 'Kiss My' at 38th. Sadge for Joel Corry whose 'Out Out' missing a semi-final place again narrowly, losing by one point as does Camila Cabello.

Semi-Finalists

20 15 193 Wolf Alice - The Last Man On Earth

19 08 200 Måneskin - Zitti E Buoni

18 14 202 Doja Cat (feat. SZA) - Kiss Me More

17 31 213 Olivia Rodrigo - Déjà Vu

16 03 217 Adele - Easy On Me

15 33 220 Weeknd - Take My Breath

14 16 228 Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber - Stay

13 41 228 Olivia Rodrigo - Drivers License

12 17 229 Galantis, David Guetta & Little Mix - Heartbreak Anthem

11 21 230 Becky Hill & David Guetta - Remember

10 18 247 Elton John & Dua Lipa - Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)

09 06 252 Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow - Industry Baby

08 10 254 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits

07 05 254 Lil Nas X - Montero (Call Me By Your Name)

06 12 279 Ava Max - My Head & My Heart

Not all is lost for the indie crowd as Bror's last minute votes just about secure Wolf Alice a place in the semi-finals albeit far from its top five peak in this round. Italian rockers Måneskin also keep their place albeit taking an 11 place dive. Adele near-reverses the 20-3 surge she had last year, dropping back down 3-16. It's a good year for Olivia Rodrigo assisted by the release of her third album, two hits from her debut in 'Deja Vu' and 'Drivers License' both climb into the top 20. The Weeknd climbs in with 'Take My Breath' to join his bigger hit yet to come and the last replacement comes from Becky Hill's 'Remember', now the second Guetta-assist in the top 20 to join 'Heartbreak Anthem'. Elton John recovers with 'Cold Heart' 18-10 after diving out of the top five the year previous. Lil Nas X had autoqualified to the final last year with 'Montero' but with a 5-7 drop will now need to join 'Industry Baby' and 'Old Town Road' in the first semi-final. Finally, Ava Max had been set to go straight to the final with 'My Head & My Heart' but lost out in the last few sets of votes but has a still respectable 12-6 climb.

Finalists

05 09 293 Dua Lipa - Love Again

04 02 314 Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under

03 04 320 Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever

02 07 325 Olivia Rodrigo - Good 4 U

01 01 459 Weeknd - Save Your Tears (Original / Ariana Grande Remix)

In her place, Dua Lipa gets yet another direct-finalist with 'Love Again', her fourth from 'Future Nostalgia' and seventh overall so far - remaining firmly the queen of RotD. Sam Fender can't be reined in just yet, his biggest hit up until recently 'Seventeen Going Under' remains a direct finalist. With Adele falling out of favour again Billie Eilish regains her bronze medalist with 'Happier Than Ever'. Meanwhile Olivia Rodrigo jumps back into 2nd place with 'Good 4 U' to follow her general upwards trend. However The Weeknd is still firmly on top for the year, 'Save Your Tears' has never placed lower than first for this round and once again the competition are not remotely close. With four songs now directly placed in the final he likely will once again be the most represented male artist.

We don't talk about... a lot of these results but at least 'The Last Man On Earth' is just about still a semi-finalist, phew!

As I Am getting no votes... does that happen regularly? seems like whoever nom'd it forgot

Oh wow, huge drop for Adele and Go_A - Shum!

Good to see Remember take a climb to the semis... not overly fussed by the Livvy Rod songs.

Also big climbs for Agnes! Makes up for her exit from the Pop Factor @Scene will be pleased to see!

I think my winner is definitely not going to come from 2021 then lmao

It was Dobbo who nominated it and indeed he did not vote.

That has happened on a few occasions yes.

We love to see it.

Sorry, my schedule was thrown out the window as I was busy today so couldn't vote in this, you can probably blame me for CHVRCHES losing their AQ, at least Last Man on Earth would've still been OK!

Yet another year has passed with eliminations of my qualified

We really are in the darkest timeline for indie faves oops (what even is that 13-54 drop for Go_A??) At least my precious 'The Last Man On Earth' fights on x

Shum 💔💔

Love to see those Agnes SOARS however and pleasantly surprised to see Dua gain another top 5, didn’t realise Love Again was held in such a high regard here actually.

Hoping this partly explains what's got to be the most disastrous year of results yet.

Such a stacked year but those drops for Shum, Bicep, Anxiety, CHVRCHES, Wet Leg, Wolf Alice... give me strength Buzzjack!

If Last Man On Earth had got 2 points less and missed the semis my excitement for the later stages of this rate would have hit zero.

Now... mission save Doomscroller, who's with me 😅
