The Sun is reporting that Adele's fifth album is being tipped for next summer, although the release plans are still being discussed. The working title is 39. You could read the article here.

The 38-year-old is tipped to release the follow-up to her fourth album next summer, and I’m told the working title is 39. The name would follow the pattern of her previous albums, from 19 and 21 through to 25 and 30.

My source explained: “Adele is gearing up for a huge comeback and feels ready to start a new chapter musically. She’s been away from performing for a while, but music has never been far from her mind. The album is being tipped for next summer, although the release plans are still being worked through. The working title being discussed is 39.”

    She should call it 30something

39 noo. I wanted 40, it would be more fitting. Though would be awesome if she switched up the age title completely

I’m sure she’ll continue the age theme but I think there’s been a misunderstanding with it being 39. Maybe she’ll be 39 the time of its release but it’s always the age she is of the time the material is written.

I love this!

I bet she waits another year and calls it 40! 🙈😂

She needs to move on from the age theme now. 30 is a nice number to end the theme on and no one wants an album called 37, 38 or 39 lol

I'm hoping she gives us more cinematic bops like Love Is a Game and Wild Wild West esque songs this time (and it's criminal the latter ended up as a Target bonus track, not the main album). We don't need any more Greg Kurstin produced songs unless it's another Hello moment...

(Also imagine Adele giving us two albums since Rihanna's last album 🙃)

Omg hey burbe! @Botchia hi

Have you been following Adele's progress in The Pop Factor on BuzzJack? She's looking like a strong contender to go all the way if her mentor plays their cards right!

As for future Adele... is she the same chart force she once was? Could she compete with new music from the likes of Olivia Dean, Dua Lipa, Sienna Spirro and others? I feel like she may get heavily pushed by radio as per usual, but beyond that maybe less chart time than she's been used to in previous eras?

I thought she announced after the last album she was scrapping the age theme?

I thought she said 30 was the last one too!?

I had visions of her coming back with something completely different, either a big club bop or something rocky, like totally left field. 🤣

Yeah, I agree with you.

The only album of hers in which the time the material was written coincided with its release was 19 and based on all the information that it's known, it's highly unlikely that this will happen this time. That said, if the age theme continues, it will be 37, even 38, as the best.

She originally said it was a trilogy of numbers, then changed record labels and they firced her to release a ballad first and put up a number title

I’m here for some new Adele music!

2027 would mark 6 years since 30 if it drops in Q4. It doesn’t at all feel like her last album was that far back (I mean I did see her live in 2024 so that may be why it feels more recent).

I’m torn on if I want the age theme to continue! I mean it’s all we know so far but 30 is a nice round number. I don’t know if she’ll ever just go self titled either because then what would follow…

Here for the new material though and to see what direction the albums gone in. Mrs. O’Dayne

I half thought the same and I'd actually love to see her give it a go.

Surprise release in the horizon? They're, somehow, teasing a November release now. Full article here.

Adele has sparked rumours she is set to drop a secret album before the end of the year which will explore her experience of fame and her London roots.

A very senior music industry source told the Daily Mail that the 16-time Grammy Award winner has completed her new album which she has actually secretly been working on for four years, since 2022. ‘I hear that it is done,’ they said. Adele is set to simply drop the new music overnight unannounced, as Beyoncé famously did in 2013.

That would happen as soon as this month, with November being the best time of the year for music releases.
