I predict it'll fall a bit, though. It's down to #22 on Spotify today.

Another possible #2 peaking hit for Olivia. Can't catch a break this year.

I'd be shocked if it ends anywhere near #2 by the end of the week, this surely already includes the physical sales.

This reminds me of Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses

Edit - Lauren agrees with me !

I was thinking the exact same thing was wondering where I'd heard this before

I don't want the track to hog the top spot for the next 6 weeks, nothing special about it.

Olivia Rodrigo's Christmas song sounds familiar... on pur...

The pop star sought permission from cult 80s band The Waitresses before releasing her festive single.

Would be tragic if Olivia’s Christmas song got to no 1 when the cure and stupid song missed were denied 🤭🤭. It’s decent but nothing wow imo, can defo hear the Christmas wrapping influence

Official Charts Report

Olivia Rodrigo could be heading straight for the Top 5 with festive new single, take me home (4 Christmas).

Currently at Number 2 on the Official Chart: First Look, if it stays on track it will be this week’s highest new entry and Rodrigo’s 13th Top 10 single in the UK.

Jamie Miller’s Babydoll is holding firm at Number 1 on the First Look, potentially his fourth week at the top, while My Body Isn’t Ready by sombr is set to continue its ascent up the chart, up three at Number 6.

Further down, UK Rap icon Skepta could see Currency (27) become his 25th Top 40 single this week following the release of his new album The Fork And Knife, and just behind, record-breaking former Christmas Number 1 Last Christmas by Wham! may make its inaugural Top 40 appearance for 2026 this week, zooming up to Number 30 on the First Look.

Irish folk group Kingfishr could enter the Top 40 for the first time with The Sun Will Never Settle, lifting 13 places to Number 38, and finally, Sam Fender’s cover of Rolling Stones classic You Can't Always Get What You Want, featured in this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert, could see a Top 40 debut this Friday (39).

The Official Chart: First Look offers a first glance of the Top 40 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Starred out because of the 3 song rule. It's now on ACR, and the new Olivia Rodrigo Christmas song is the highest one.

it got starred out by take me home (4 christmas) but would've taken a fall anyways since it went to ACR this week
