no sugababes wont drop they will stay top 5 i think at the end of the week it will be

1. leona

2. take that

3. britney spears

4. sugababes

5. mcflly

coz 3,4,5 are all very close

See I don't think that, for the same reason (the last three are probably still very close)

As I've just checked McFly's official site as I couldn't remember what signings were left and :

Thursday 25 October

11.00am - HMV Watford, Harlequin Centre - Tom & Harry signing only****

Thursday 25 October

11.00am - HMV Reading, The Oracle - Danny & Dougie signing only*****

Friday 26th October

11.00am - Fives, 103 The Broadway, Leigh On Sea Essex – all four lads are here (no wristbands required)

500 wristbands at each of the wristband ones. On Monday they were less than 500 behind Britney so tuesdays signing has defiantly effected that due to a 1000 wristband signing.

They're also on Paul O Grady today and the Nickelodeon Awards is shown on Saturday on which they perform the song and host the awards. So thats promotion to different age groups and could effect sales very well.

I'm still not convinced that they will beat Take That though, and even less convinced after reading one of their fans buyings on another thread here...

God this is the most exciting chart of seen in ages. Why can't it always be like this. Fun and unpredictable - not knowing who's gonna be where and fans really getting behind their artists. It really does feel like 1999 again when i would absoulty hate S Club because i prefered Steps. I am loving reading this thread!
Ok we know that Leona and Take That will have the #1 and #2 but u know what i mean about the unpredictableness

Not sure it's that much of a surprise - her download only sales last week were ok but nothing special, there's been little promotion and if we're all being honest it's a pretty average/weak song from her, certainly nowhere near the calibre of the Toxic/Everytime double whammy in 2004. I'm not sure its appeal beyond what remains of the core fanbase is that strong. Combine this with a very competitive week and you get her struggle to remain high on the chart.

Yep, I agree with that, great assessment, it just tells it all, that's a fair point.

And welcome to the forum :cheer:

Mikey, could you give me a little calculation to work out Nicole's position please? :P And do we have any Wednesday info for Melanie C?

Single Sales will improve from now till Xmas. We still have Kylie and the Spice Girls to come and the Xmas #1, anyhow let's get this week over first, take a week at a time. If that happens no more American acts getting to #1 this year. :D

no surprise Leona doing well it seems 2% of the X factor audience are buying it giving her BIG sales. britney is falling makes sense cause she needs another version to boost her on itunes. leona has 2 versions, take that 3 versions. another mess up for britney...they pulled CD2 with the remixes and video also they didn't make the track available on UK 12" (this kind of club track would do well vinyl wise). these extra formats would help her Vs Mcfly. But they have 3 singles for £6 deal, TV promo push, text sales plus signings. Britney can't compete with that for #3.

come sunday i expect to see:

1 Leona

2 Take That

3 McFly

i think there will be a close battle for 4 Sugabaes Vs Britney

I'm not getting into the whole Take That/Leona battle but from tomorrow for 48 hours only an exclusive live version of "Rule The World" will be available to download - The Take That fanbase mailing list and everyone who has bought concert tickets (300,000+) have recieved an e-mail - Could possibly shake things up a little?! :P

Are they charging another 75p+ just for that?

They're really desperate for the number 1 aren't they. Its not like they need it to look good, and its not like its going to happen.

75,000 people wont download the singles...
