October 23, 200717 yr Spice Girls are out to download on the 5th November so they will have to hang on even longer. But I'm goonna say they will be #2, cos #2 is the new #1 at Xmas :smoke: The X Factor has totally devalued the meaning of Xmas #1
October 23, 200717 yr Author Ah, so it's out to D/L from November 5th. How many do you think it will be selling by Christmas week w/c Dec 17th, Matt?
October 23, 200717 yr Ah, so it's out to D/L from November 5th. How many do you think it will be selling by Christmas week w/c Dec 17th, Matt? hard to say really. Will be their first proper download release before a physical. When I see the first week of physical sales combined with the downloads I will make a guess  But for a stab in the dark, 30-40k on Xmas week
October 23, 200717 yr Author Ah well Matt, guess it's not impossible for the Sugababes to outsell the Spice Girls in the week before Christmas. Although with SG being for Children In Need I imagine it will get an extra boost.
October 24, 200717 yr I heard somewhere that mr blobby is releasing a new single in time for christmas maybe he could do it.
October 24, 200717 yr or the sugababes could shock the $h!t out of every1 and take it with the amazing Change again, as much as id love it to happen it wont, itll be x factor at #1 (which makes me wanna puke), spicves still top 2 maybe and as usual all the cheesy xmas songs which make xmas that little more less cynical and cherful will all struggle to get top 745 let alone top 40  -_-
October 24, 200717 yr The X Factor has totally devalued the meaning of Xmas #1 100% totally agree with that, its all about making xmas cmmercial, the fun of the xmas #1 has long since died, bring back slade and wizzard, the time when a proper xmas song would actually do well, instead of frickin evil simon cowell ruining xmas
October 24, 200717 yr I heard somewhere that mr blobby is releasing a new single in time for christmas maybe he could do it. oh let it be!
October 25, 200717 yr The X Factor has totally devalued the meaning of Xmas #1 IIRC, one bookmaker said that Simon Cowell's ruined the Christmas No1 betting market until at least 2009, thanks to the X Factor being around until then. :banghead: Edited October 25, 200717 yr by DitzyNizzy
October 25, 200717 yr Mariah Carey-All i want for Christmas wohooo! she will be able to reenter this year, at since it got to 9 last year unofficially, and with downloads nowso huge she could very well be top5 and possibly number 2
October 25, 200717 yr If there is any justice then this truly fantastic song will be #2 which she has re-recorded from the album version for a December 10th release: g5LsdEqSQO4 Amy Winehouse - Love Is A Losing Game
October 25, 200717 yr Author I'd love Amy to be number two! Best song on the album IMO. Not going to happen though is it? Will settle for Sugababes.
October 25, 200717 yr I think the Sugababes are gona suprise alot of people and do really really well with Change!
October 25, 200717 yr Author Shane releases on 19th November, I think, same as Spice Girls. Wonder how the X Factor effect will boost his sales?
