September 24, 200817 yr imo there is abit of pressure on Will, he has to do well with his album and he has to keep up momentum with singles and hopes one is a big hit going top3 with legs. if he can do that then his album should have a healthy chart run. low single sales (say like mcfly) can be sacrificed as long as the record company can make money from the album and his record company seem to think he is as an album selling artist. it would be interesting to see what happens in this era for him.
September 24, 200817 yr Get Bette In The Top 40! Hope her album reaches Top 5 by the end of the week would be fantastic!
September 24, 200817 yr I had considered getting that Armand Van Helden best of...but decided I didn't know enough of the songs  he has had more hits than most people realise though
September 24, 200817 yr I'm not sure Will's album will do that great. If you think about it, the disappointing 'Switch It On' underperformed and it took the album's initial chart run down with it, only having a big hit like 'All Time Love' as a second single saved it. It may have to be the same case here. The next single, Grace, was played on the Ken Bruce show on Monday. You can find it on listen again at 1hr 38 mins in, if you want a listen. It's far superior to Changes in my opinion, and much less middle of the road. An entirely different kettle of fish to All Time Love, which was a bit dreary to my ears, although beautifully sung. Grace is upbeat and well, awesome! I'm not sure how it will sell though, or how it will sell the album either. As already posted, it will be interesting to see how Will fares in this era of indie and solo females, and R&B and so forth. Will has a particular style and maybe it sits a bit uncomfortably in the current music scene? Good for him for ploughing on and making good pop though!
September 24, 200817 yr Oh bugger! I sure hope Will can sell some albums next week, he just has to as it's got some bloody awesome songs on it. :yahoo:

It may have to be the same case here. That's what happened to Feeder's "Silent Cry" album- the first single only spent a week on the top 75 with a peak of number 25, and I knew a short chart life was going to happen to the album as a result, even though a certain person on here I do not want to embaress tried winding me up over it on another forum by posting *Sniggers* due to the 8-25 drop in the mids at the time     , and somebody else posted the second week midweek placing just to stir up trouble (even though nobody requested it).     Edited September 24, 200817 yr by Marcus
September 24, 200817 yr Anyways, back on topic, the Kings of Leon album is brilliant and is a real grower unlike the first two.
