I have chosen The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony as one of the definitive songs of the 90s and Arctics - Brianstorm as a great song by a great band (although I would have preferred Flourescent Adolescent tbh).

Radiohead - Just and Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me

I usually can't stand Radiohead at all, but 'Just' is one of my few exceptions as I heard the version on Mark Ronson's album and gave the original a listen. I wouldn't say I loved the track, but out of all the options on the poll and the four already through it's my favourite by far and probably one of the better songs from the artists Coldplay are inspired by imo.

As for Travis, it's a decent track and it's better than the other two I recognise on this list. Please no to 'Chasing Cars', it's just one of the most predictable songs we could have possibly picked and radio has practically beaten it to death.

This one is easy for me,

Verve - Bitter Symphony, the production on it is beautiful and its a very haunting track.

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars, One of the stand out tracks of the noughties, its my indie anthem.

Brianstorm and Bittersweet Symphony.

Brianstrom is really the only AM song i like (other than IBYLGOTDF)

And Bittersweet Symphony is a song i grew up with, my mum loved the Verve. The album is still preving about the Livin room sumwhere....

Arctics and Snow Patrol for me. Two of my fave Indie/Rock/Alternative bands!
Somebody didn't vote for 2 tracks, it just seems to be at an odd number, and it seems some members are just voting.
I went for Arctic Monkeys and KoL. I think both tracks are different to the ones already picked, and they're also two of my favourite tracks. Brianstorm isn't the best Arctic Monkeys track, but it's definitive and it definitely has that darker tone compared to some of the tracks already picked, so I think it'd be a very good track to be apart of the 6.

arctic monkeys didnt get a vote from me as iu simply dont like their music at all

snow patrol is a briliant song and a song i adore

The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Snow Patrol and Radiohead :)

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony - My favourite song of all time and one of many songs that were scandolously kept off number one, if you ever want proof that the best songs get to number two looks no further than this song.

Arctic Monkeys - Brianstorm - My favourite band with a song that was a perfect transition from their first album to the second, an opening track that slotted into a very different second album that ended up being my favourite of 2007.

The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony - this should have been a certainty as Coldplay performed this with Richard Ashcroft at Live Aid.

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars - A modern classic. Perhaps the best Coldplay song that never was.

The Verve and Artic Monkeys, though i should've replaced The Verve with Radiohead, but at least they're further ahead of Snow Patrol- a good song but bad choice.

You have until 10 PM this evening to vote and discuss! After that, we will discuss the playlist order :D

Get voting!
