Posted November 29, 200816 yr What are your favourite songs that either just missed out on the top spot or songs that under-performed so much, that you thought would go to number 1? This Idea did NOT come from one of the BJSC topics, when we were talking about Mutya  :heehee: We were talking about how 'Song 4 Mutya' deserved number 1, and how we were shocked as we thought it would be number 1 etc... etc... My other ones include: Cascada - Everytime We Touch: I (personally) really wanted this to go to number 1 but it peaked at 2 which was better than I thought it would do tbh. Girls Aloud - Something Kinda Ooooh: How on Earth did this not get to number 1? Girls Aloud - Call the Shots: Same as above. The Killers - Human: Has number 1 written all over it, but I wasn't surprised to see it not go to number 1 as soon as I heard there wasn't a full physical release! Atomic Kitten - You Are: Arguably, AK's best song, the release got cancelled, when I was sure this would at LEAST go Top 3! Any more?? Edited November 29, 200816 yr by Jonjo Deluxe Ed.
November 29, 200816 yr Author Britney Spears - Gimme More. That song shoulda been #1. And Piece of Me :o I was shocked when Basshunter got to number 1 over that :o Also I think Rihanna DSTM and Disturbia could be added... and not nearly ALL of GA's back catalogue can be added :P They have really good songs, but some didn't deserve Number 1 :P
November 29, 200816 yr Rihanna - SOS (Rescue Me) / Unfaithful Britney Spears - Piece Of Me / Womanizer Christina Aguilera - Fighter / Ain't No Other Man Jamelia - Thankyou
November 29, 200816 yr How long have you got? Biology, Something Kinda Oooh, Call The Shots, Piece Of Me, Dont Stop The Music, Superstar, Thank You, Since U Been Gone, The Beverley Knight Back Catalogue, i could probably ramble on for a good few year here.

I love Girls Aloud's releases but Something Kinda Ooooh is and was awful in my opinion. Didn't like their cover of I Think We're Alone Now either. Found Call The Shots very over-rated. Otherwise, I'd say any others. Until I think of another song, lol.
November 29, 200816 yr GA - SKO Mutya Buena & Groove Armada - Song For Mutya   how the f*** did this only get to #8 Mutya Buena - Real Girl (i well underestimated Umbrella) Sugababes - Easy (was expected to go to #1, then everyone heard it. lol!)
November 29, 200816 yr Song 4 Mutya is possily the biggest injustice ever really. Real Girl for me deserved #2, still a great song but for me it's a perfect example of a song which reached the position it deserved.
November 29, 200816 yr Kylie - Confide in me Kylie - On a night like this Kylie - Put yourself in my place (How this only got to number 11 i'll never know)
November 29, 200816 yr And Piece of Me :o I was shocked when Basshunter got to number 1 over that :o I dragged my sister down to town purely so that i could get Piece Of Me from Woolies and stop Basshunter from getting #1. Little did i know my sister would realise Now You're Gone was in Woolies and purchase that...:( Completely ruined my day
November 29, 200816 yr Oh yeah...i truely believed that I Thought It Was Over would give The Feeling a #1  Little did i know it was to stall at #9 :( I specifically went to Woolies that day in the super freezing cold wetness to get it...and it costed a whole £1 more than Zavvi & HMV...was not impressed, but bought it anyway and had I Thought It was Over on repeat all day as i didn't think anything at all of the b-sides :( Eventually Columbia grew on me and is currently on my iPod
November 29, 200816 yr Kylie - Put yourself in my place (How this only got to number 11 i'll never know) simple... it was utter c**p! check out the original and kylies vers doesnt compare.
November 29, 200816 yr s club juniors 'one step closer' 'new direction' ok they were pretty uncool but as pop songs wuld have been regarded as pop classics if the sugababes or someone similar would have released them.
November 30, 200816 yr Kylie - Confide in me Kylie - Put yourself in my place (How this only got to number 11 i'll never know) Totally agree - Two of Kylie's finest singles
