November 30, 200816 yr Its my fav Kylie song and her vocals are brilliant on it like it if you want to but her vocals arnt 'brilliant', the whole track is a pisspoor cover , lacklustre, weak, she manages to take the soul out of this soul classic...
November 30, 200816 yr This is going back a bit but... GROOVE IS IN THE HEART by DEE-LITE, a true dance classic. It got beaten by THE STEVE MILLER BAND and THE JOKER, apparently by something like 12 copies. Damn those sh***y jeans ads
November 30, 200816 yr Leona Lewis- Better In Time (though shoving it with the poor FITS didn't help) Darude- Sandstorm :w00t: Natalie Imbruligia- Torn Edited November 30, 200816 yr by Harve
November 30, 200816 yr Ultravox - Vienna Mr Blue Sky - ELO Something About You - Level 42 Oh and Rule The World by Take That - but fair do's it was beaten by a good song. And RTW is having the last laugh I suppose by still being in the chart over a year later! There are loads of others ... can't be bothered to look! I've got a cold and I can't even have the day off work tomorrow because its a new job! Norma
November 30, 200816 yr not nearly ALL of GA's back catalogue can be added They have really good songs, but some didn't deserve Number 1Thats where the word 'nearly' comes into the equasion! I'd say 'No Good Advice', 'Love Machine', 'Biology', Something Kinda Oooh' and 'Call The Shots' deserved it. Add that to their actual four #1's id say thats over half of GA's back catalogue of singles!
November 30, 200816 yr Pulp - "Common People".. Just DO NOT understand why this didn't make No1 at all... Evanescence - "Lithium".. Well, I think we all know what happened there, the fukkin' record company absolutely making a hash of the promotion... It should have been No1 for about a MONTH, a gorgeous, contemporary Rock Ballad, which deserved a LOT better... Nirvana - "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Lithium" (not the same song as Evanescence by the way LOL)... Both almost certainly should have made it The Sex Pistols - "God Save The Queen"... Well, er, that actually DID sell the most records, but let's face it, was NEVER gonna be allowed to be No 1 in the Queen's Silver Jubilee year.... New Order - "Blue Monday"... The 12" has sold over 1 million copies (the sort of sales the likes of The Saturdays and Girls Aloud will never see for a single, let's face it..) and is regarded as the most successful 12" single of all time, and yet, NEVER made it to No 1 in UK singles chart (it got No 1 in the Indie charts however)... I mean, WTF, how does that even HAPPEN??????

It got beaten by THE STEVE MILLER BAND and THE JOKER, apparently by something like 12 copies. Damn those sh***y jeans ads  I agree with that.... No one even gave a flying fukk about sodding Steve Millar until that advert came out.... It really p!sses me off that people seem to define their musical tastes by what tunes appear on some bloody telly advert.... It's like, "GO AND ACTUALLY LISTEN TO SOME FUKKIN' RECORDS RET@RDS....."   Sorry, but that has always yanked my chain tbh...
November 30, 200816 yr like it if you want to but her vocals arnt 'brilliant', the whole track is a pisspoor cover , lacklustre, weak, she manages to take the soul out of this soul classic... I never knew 'Put Yourself In My Place' was a cover.
November 30, 200816 yr And Piece of Me :o I was shocked when Basshunter got to number 1 over that :o I wasn't, I was surprised it even got as high as #2 that week but it did deserve it. I honestly thought 'Gimme More' was a 100% shoe-in for #1 and would be one of the biggest hits of that year.

Add that to their actual four #1's id say thats over half of GA's back catalogue of singles! Those are the mine 5 i agree, I'd also add Jump to this list, it sold enough on the week didnt it and is one of their best sellers. Damn that blooming Westlife

November 30, 200816 yr Kylie Minogue - What do i have to do Kylie Minogue - I Believe in you Dannii Minogue - i begin to wonder Britney Spears & Madonna - Me Against the music Michael Jackson -Remember the time Janet Jackson - Together again Michael & Janet - Scream Pet Shop Boys - Go West Roxette - The Look Tina Turner- What's Love got to Do With it Eternal- Just a step from heaven Spice Girls- Stop Bon Jovi - livin' on a prayer The Cardigans- Lovefool i only mentioned some of the good songs that reached the top 10 but couldn't make it to number 1 which was a shame...
November 30, 200816 yr http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41J1768AN9L._SL160_AA115_.jpg Emma Bunton - Maybe Your sig just completely reminded me of Spice Girls - Headlines... I was sooooooooooo expecting that to go #1...at least it was #1 if you don't include the Top 10
November 30, 200816 yr like it if you want to but her vocals arnt 'brilliant', the whole track is a pisspoor cover , lacklustre, weak, she manages to take the soul out of this soul classic... Down to personal opinion i suppose
November 30, 200816 yr Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone :( indeed, beaten one week by Ronan Keating, Westlife and Geri Halliwell, all on separate weeks  and the week Westlife beat it, they were just 500 copies ahead :(
December 1, 200816 yr Robbie Williams - Angels Pink - Who Knew Take That - Rule the world Cascada - Everytime We Touch Shakira - Wherever Whenever Thats as far as i can think :D
December 1, 200816 yr You know, i was convinced until a few years back that Angels had been a #1. Incredible that it only reached #4 yet is still his best known song IMO.
