My friend is a store manager for Woolworths and I went to their store today and stocked up on loads of new releases selling at 50% off (The Killers, Britney, Leona (Deluxe), Take That, Girls Aloud, Rhydian, Radio 1 Sessions, Nickleback (Deluxe) etc,) - All albums are around £5 or less in the sale and remaining stock will be 75% off after the 27th! They had LOADS of stock and recieved a huge delivery from EUK so I am sure other stores will be the same.

 

Will be interesting to see how this impacts the charts over the coming weeks!

My Woolies stays open till the 5th January, and all they seem to have is a load of OLD chart CDs :( (Oh yeah and The Killers, Girls Aloud, Rhydian & a couple of others haha Take That sold out yesterday :P)

 

There is like nothing left, the person on the till looked real upset, i wanted to give her a hug :cry: I walked out and almost shed a tear as i go into Woolies EVERY time i see one :(

The Woolworths I was in shuts on the 30th I think?! And also to anyone that seems to think I am lying then trust me I have better things to do with my time than post on a forum lies about Woolworths prices! Maybe I should not have bothered giving everyone a heads up?! :teresa:

is this true!?!?!? My local Woolworths is one of the very last in the area to close and it's open until the 5th :yahoo: I'll be making special daily journeys if i'm treated to those discount prices :yahoo:

They're selling off CD singles for just 60p in the one I'm near in Devon, Take That's Greatest Day, T2's Heartbroken, a load of Rihanna ones, even that Sugababes v Girls Aloud one from last year! Starting to think I should have waited a few days now before I bought them (which I did apart from Walk This Way), they'd have probably gone down to even lower :P

 

There's also albums like Rihanna's A Girl Like Me selling for as low as £2, I'm gonna go so spending-crazy there over the next few days!

Going to look tomorrow. Ours closes 30th and a woman said "everything has to go then even if we get just a penny for it" They've lots of CD's left, mainly back-catalogue.
