December 28, 200817 yr Author You mean January, right? Thread title reads December :D I know slight blonde moment there, using the back door method  ;)
December 28, 200817 yr The Script are on a ROLL!!! :yahoo: I hope 'Breakeven' hits a new peak (Preferably Inside the top 20) Next week :w00t: The Man Who Can't Be Moved, hopefully goes Top 30 again next week and the album is selling sooo well :o  The Saturdays at 35 & 36 Respectively :o Fantastic for Britney too! :yahoo: Just One Place drops
December 28, 200817 yr So what's the story with Lupe Fiasco? There's no WAY his chart positions justify that #22 year-end spot. I recall Chasing Pavments and Don't Stop The Music both overshadowing it at the time at least. Have MW discovered some lost sales or something? Edited December 28, 200817 yr by Shoat
December 28, 200817 yr Gosh I thought Gabriella would collapse down the chart after the iTunes analialation but 3rd week inside the top 30! :o
December 28, 200817 yr alot of songs going back up which is regular for this time of year and i suspect the same will happen next week again,,great week again for take that and girls aloud althoygh im hugely disappointed crack the shutters by snow patrol is not top 40
December 28, 200817 yr Top 40 Singles Of The Year 22 Lupe Fiasco featuring Matthew Santos Superstar I had no idea this had sold as much as 300k :o
December 28, 200817 yr It didn't. Somebody must have made an error that neither Radio 1 or Music Week has noticed yet
December 28, 200817 yr Its been going on for weeks this Lupe Fiasco thing and no one important enough has noticed (for once I couldn't actually blame Fearne for this error!) So glad P!nk made the top 10 albums of the year!
December 28, 200817 yr It's the new iPod/iTunes gift card factor...although it's not as pronounced as it has been in recent years. It seems to have affected the chart outside the top ten a lot more - it normally gets a couple of dying hits back in the top ten. That’s because Christmas day fell in the middle (Thursday) of the week as opposed to the start of the week in 2006 (Monday) and 2007 (Tuesday).

December 28, 200817 yr So Girls Aloud have at least sold 563,000 copies - could they have got to 600K?
December 28, 200817 yr 39 | Sash - The Best Of 40 | Seal - Soul I doubt anyone would have predicted this at the beginning of the year; Madonna's comeback almost tying with Sash! and Seal. I'm especially surprised at Seal given he's not even made the top 10. Edited December 28, 200817 yr by Shoat
December 28, 200817 yr I can't believe Bette Midler is in the top 40 this year. Don't get me wrong. I love her, but i ust wouldn't have expected it
