4 songs (potentially 6) doing very well in my chart at the moment, do I ignore all of the other potentially great songs in favour of these ones that I knew before they were confirmed or do I give these 6 songs my top points, thus completely ignoring the fact that the main reason that I love BJSC is to discover great new music!?! I think I'll just have to rank each song out of 10 as usual and the cheap ones will fall right to the bottom of the pack of that rating a la Alesha last month :cry: a couple of the six are already 10/10 songs so would almost certainly get (cheap) high points from me whatever happens...

If you felt bad about giving other songs points over Alesha, then surely it would be best to just give points to Alesha, even if that made you feel bad too but to a lesser extent? :P

of course, you run the risk of it being tarnished by the fact that it was a #58 smash hit and will be three weeks old by the time the contest comes around! I'm getting bored of In For The Kill now :snif:

although yours isn't a single scheduled for release in the next month or two :P if these 6 songs all finish top 10/15 (and good luck to them, they are all fantastic), I potentially have something incredibly cheap lined up for XV which I won't hesitate to use if it is the direction that the contest is heading in...

 

I just think it's the natural progression of things. :o Lotssss of stuff leaks late January / early February so there are quite a few new songs people want to send (mine included). I think it'll die down a bit as the months go by.

 

And like I said before, I really don't feel there's such a thing as a cheap entry anymore tbh. We've seen Christina Millian, Girls Aloud, and Britney Spears flop miserably. And then Alesha didn't do OVERLY well. You really need to pick a good song to hit top 5 at this point, or at least one that has lots of widespread appeal. You can't just get by on artist name alone. While I personally disliked Release Me, it was clearly going to do well; I could see the appeal.

 

Tyron - Cloetta Paris and M$ney are my favorites of all of those. I like La Roux, but you literally just entered her. :/ I personally would never enter an artist I've already entered before unless it was a new album and much much later. You just entered her first single, so entering her second single two contests after feels too soon to me.
