Posted September 7, 200915 yr Is anyone buying them this week, like hell... I'm not at £10 a shot. I might end up buying Sgt Peppers, Revolver and Abbey Road down the line. Hopefully they won't filter the top 40 Album chart a lot next week.

Hopefully they won't filter the top 40 Album chart a lot next week. The local HMV had a notice saying they weren't in until Wednesday, anyway...
September 7, 200915 yr I may end up buying some of them, but I'm not really feeling like. I don't have millions on my bank account and I rather spend my money on newer artists who really need a push.
September 7, 200915 yr Is this the same date the Beatles songs are added to iTunes? If so we can expect some sort of influx of Beatles songs Top 40 (ala Michael Jackson) this week :o
September 7, 200915 yr Everything is out 09.09.09. Beatles Rock Band, albums, et al. Prepare for a Beatles chart!
September 7, 200915 yr The Beatles Albums are already on Sale in UK Super Markets, & in their In-Store Charts:, TESCO CHART 1 - Sgt Pepper 12 - Revolver 31 - Help 32 - Magical Mystery Tour SAINSBURY'S CHART 1 - Sgt Pepper 2 - Revolver 3 - Abbey Road 4 - Rubber Soul 5 - Help! ASDA & WH SMITH CHARTS 1) Sgt Pepper - 19 in WH Smith Chart - 29 in the ASDA Artist Chart 2) Revolver - 24 in WH Smith - 42 in ASDA 3) Help! - 35 in WH Smith - Not in the ASDA Chart 4) Magical Mystery Tour - 31 in WH Smith - Not in the ASDA Chart 'Abbey Road' is at No.23 in ASDA, but it isn't in the other Stores Charts. (Except for being No.3 in Sainsbury's). 'Rubber Soul' is at 24 in ASDA, but not in the other Stores Charts. (Except for being No.4 in Sainsbury's). 'Past Masters' is at No.47 in ASDA, but not in the other Stores Charts. From BILLBOARD:, The Beatles' "1" is the best-selling album of the decade so far, with 11.5 million copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The band has sold 28.2 million albums since 2000, second only to Eminem (with 32 million), who they could well pass before the end of the year. and for Rock Band, The Beatles will allow fans to buy at least a portion of their music in digital form as extra downloadable content for the game, starting with "Abbey Road" Oct. 20 and followed by "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Rubber Soul" in November and December, respectively. Sales expectations are high. Wedbush Morgan Securities videogame analyst Michael Pachter estimates the game will sell 5 million copies by year's end, with the disc-only version moving 3.5 million and the deluxe and standard versions selling 1.5 million between them. Each downloadable Beatles album will cost $17, with individual songs going for $2. MTV typically keeps about 70% of the price of downloadable content purchased through "Rock Band." Although the Beatles are believed to have received a better deal, this is still a very profitable business. Edited September 7, 200915 yr by zeus555
September 7, 200915 yr Author If they are out already, I am not looking forward to tomorrow mids, I be forever fishing them out. :( hopefully not all 14 are in the Top 40
September 7, 200915 yr I hope they don't clog up the charts, I'm not a Beatles fan. Still, the band is probably better then the insects :kink:
September 7, 200915 yr I don't believe the CD's are available to buy until Wednesday. Likewise no deal has yet been struck with the likes of iTunes for them to be available to buy digitally. So like AC/DC they will only be available digitally via a computer console game format. Hence the tracks will not make the Top 75 this week. As for the albums, when they were released on CD for the first time in batches throughout 1987 they charted in the UK: Please Please Me #32 With The Beatles #40 A Hard Day's Night #30 Beatles For Sale #45 Help! #61 Rubber Soul #60 Revolver #55 Sgt Peppers .... #03 Magical Mystery Tour #52 "The White Album" #18 Yellow Submarine #60 Abbey Road #30 Let It Be #50 Past Masters Vol 1 #49 Past Masters Vol 2 #46 So I expect a similar impact, as even despite lower album sales now, a lot of Beatles sales will disappear buying the Stereo & Mono box sets.
September 7, 200915 yr They are (supposedly) infinitely superior in sound to the 1987 CDs though, and you can't really get anyway from the Beatles at the moment. As for me, I will buy a couple, probably Rubber Soul and Revolver, and eventually get the rest later.
September 7, 200915 yr They are definently selling them in my local Tesco store. They also sold out within 3 hours in my Sainsbury's store. They are also leaking out in Wall-Mart in US. But not on sale yet in HMV.
September 7, 200915 yr Tescos have display cards where the albums are placed. If your local branch has been selling them they shouldn't have been. And if anyone is buying them for the video content none of that is new as it has previously featured on the Anthology DVDs..
September 7, 200915 yr All are onsale from Wednesday - There is a MAJOR embargo on any of these being sold any earlier - Pre-sales are high so expect a few suprises in the mids towards the end of the week ^_^

And if anyone is buying them for the video content none of that is new as it has previously featured on the Anthology DVDs.. Apparently it's outtakes from it. It's been compiled as a programme called The Beatles On Record, which was actually on BBC2 the other night, which I stuck on a DVD, and saved a few bob :kink:
