Joseph ranks every Doctor Who episode (2005-2025)
I think part of the reason Doctor Who sometimes fails is it puts itself under immense pressure to answer a lot and build up to a major climax in the finale - whether a single episode or a big two-parter - with so much seeded throughout the series. And I think TBORAK not being what's at the end of that traditional path and standing out as a finale that doesn't need to be all frills, explosions, high stakes, etc sits unfavourably with fans. But I think it works when you consider the mission they set out to achieve with series 11 as a whole. As much as Tim Shaw ended up being one of the biggest damp squib attempts at a new recurring villain ever, I liked what they did with the finale. Wasn't perfect by any means, but was perfectly enjoyable. Tsuranga hung on for too long there Joseph, too long. Had the sweats Legend of the Sea Devils really could have been a triumphant return for the Sea Devils too had they just allowed the special to be exactly that and not chopped it to pieces in post. A story that probably did read absolutely fine on paper (it is a great concept!), but brought to life horrendously.

Omar Rudberg - Dying
Coming soon, available to pre-save. He performed this at Stockholm Pride and a few other shows, sounds promising (if not an all out bop x)!

Joseph ranks every Doctor Who episode (2005-2025)
Sleep No More really is a disaster from start to finish. Rarely is there anything not to enjoy in an episode of Doctor Who, but that episode really takes it. And when you consider who wrote it too, hardly surprising. Also if you rewatch The Rings of Akhaten it's fairly straightforward a concept to understand why the leaf became an important part of the story's resolution.

Jonas Brothers - Greetings From Your Hometown
To be fair, I think they lost a lot of goodwill from fans when they suddenly decided to postpone all of their tour dates last minute in favour of other opportunities too. But that aside, this whole rollout has seemed a bit messy and less of a concerted effort to actually achieve anything compared to Happiness Begins and The Album. I've given it a listen and while the singles are enjoyable and there are a few good tracks (hello Bully and Tantrum, bops) this is a bit of a nosedive from where they were coming back in a big way with Happiness Begins; an album with literally zero skips.

I assume it will at some point, probably like the US version later down the line. But so far all it’s said is it’s on RTE One.

(Joseph this is just gonna be me parroting what we talk about on the daily xx) but In the Forest of the Night is iconic for 12's 'Mr Pink was looking after you? Well that explains why you're lost' line alone

KPop Demon Hunters (Soundtrack)
Finally listened to this a bit after watching the film. Some of the songs don't quite hit so hard not having the visuals there they're meant to go hand in hand with (What It Sounds Like most notably but still a major bop). Golden... I don't really get the hype over I'm ngl, it wasn't my favourite watching the film and that certainly hasn't changed here. How It's Done, Takedown and Your Idol >

Conan Gray - Wishbone
I actually think this is challenging for his best body of work yet. That initial run from Actor through to My World is sublime. Actor in particular I was really taken aback by the lyrics (in the best way!), and that continuing through the rest of the album really shows just how strong a storyteller he has always been with his music. It's definitely not the most commercial album but I think it's his most vulnerable and honest and that's part of the magic.

Nightmare in Silver definitely deserves to be down here! They could’ve done so much with the introduction of the new Cybermen (given that was already relegated to a penultimate episode with no grandstanding), and no matter how much Gaiman tries to spin it that his script was chopped to pieces, the whole chess match scenes that took up FAR too much of the episode were so incredibly boring. Flush.

Oh that’s not- Cancel this immediately x Dinosaurs really does get a hard time I think. Some questionable moments, sure. But it’s not the absolute worst of NuWho to me. Plenty fun moments and a bit of escapism especially following on from quite a heavy hitter in Asylum.

I believe it was the great poet Miranda Hart that once said: "I tried to be grown up but I have no interest in abiding by the adult rulebook. I want to do fun things that make me happy [...] You might call me a child. Good. For if adults had even the slightest in-the-moment joy of a child then frankly the world would be a better place."
