Voted, semi 2 has fantastic strength in depth and very few songs I didn't care for. Five songs were unlucky I didn't have room for them, while those at the lower end of my votes would normally be higher - hope most of them come through!

I hadn't realised Cascada's 'Everytime We Touch' was based on a Maggie Reilly song before!

#18 on Amazon now - even allowing for the usual exclusions in their chart that I can see, that's easily top 40 of all songs there. Unfortunately it had just gone back to ACR (it wasn't top 100 in the mids having been comfortably in the few before), and the eclipse may have come too late in the week to lift it enough for a reset - it depends on Spotify later!

It was #26 on yesterday's Spotify update - it's clearly on its way to being his second Top 40 at the very least.

From the top 10 so far, I couldn't really get into 'Beneath Your Beautiful' - I know it's not a misspelling of "You're" but I still find "Beautiful" as a noun a bit jarring, and the song trundles in comparison to Labrinth's best productions. 'Spectrum' is great though in both the album version and Calvin's remix - the former has a wonderful atmosphere but the chorus really soars in the latter. 'Sweet Nothing' is very good too, and even if it's closer to what we'd already heard from Calvin, it still goes off. Great choice to spotlight those #4s - I hadn't realised multiple older songs had managed the feat in 2012. 'Ordinary People' is very good (although I actually like 'All Of Me' even more), but 'Harder Than You Think' and especially 'One Day Like This' are fantastic, and both groups finally achieving a Top 10 hit was just one of many legacies of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, probably the last great major cultural experience in the UK.

'Choosin' Texas' increased slightly last week while the market declined - I'm sure it's on zero declines still. I think 'stupid song' and 'the cure' are both on DCL-2 so would go to ACR with one more decrease this week, and 'Dai Dai' is on DCL-1. Everything else near the top is either on zero declines or not yet eligible.

I think Michael Jackson will be The Reytons' main competition for #1. Olivia Rodrigo is also likely to do at least 12k, so FLO would do very well to stay Top 3.

The Coldplay song charted at #100, it must have had a very limited physical release. Part of R1's thinking for not playlisting 'Breathe' may have been that they didn't want Sean Paul on the playlist twice, so prioritised his own song. Feels like they dropped the ball with 'Fly On The Wings Of Love' too by not even giving it a C-list spot - at least it had an iconic chart run without their support. Appropriate timing to see 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun' on the playlist before tomorrow's eclipse (also a brilliant song that would be much used on Gavin & Stacey), and also William Orbit's highest peaking artist credit (RIP).

This I do agree with - it's too easy for songs which are already streaming in decent numbers to get a reset, still go nowhere near a new peak, and then take forever to return to ACR. If they applied the rule as soon as songs were due to re-enter the Top 75/100 as a result of the reset, rather than only the Top 40/50 as now, they would probably capture more of the genuine resurgences than they do now.
