FINALLY here comes a country edition of BJSC, hosted in the Unovian city of Unocastellia! This edition will celebrate songs full of meaning and story, with everything from emotional ballads to sassy ex-boyfriend harming anthems. This has been a highly anticipated spin off for much of the BJSC community, so we hope it will be an exciting and busy month for us all! Confirmations: October 11-17 Voting: October 18-31 Results: November 1 A few rules before we get into everything: - The song of course must be country, this will be judged on a case by case basis. Country is quite wide as a genre so if you think it's country, it probably is and it doesn't hurt to try. - The song cannot have reached the top 20 in the UK. - The song cannot have been entered in BJSC or Eurovision previously. Enforcing said rules and checking the songs in general for being in the spirit of the contest will be our veto panel - so joining me will be Unovia's close allies Hushkanukia and Avalonia. We are honoured to share this contest with a veteran host and a first timer, for the perfect mix of country love and approaches to the contest. Before confirmations feel free to hype the contest and tentatively share your plans

i have something in mind, a little on the cheap side and ik the artist i'm thinking of has been rejected from other spin-offs but the song technically wasn't even a single and is an EP track that was only released on their website, it's not even on itunes or anything so is ultimately unknown to most people I think
 I'll have a rake for some back ups tho, hype *.* |

So many options for this it's going to be impossible to choose. I think I may just pick one of my 2 clear favourite country songs from this year so I am not having to decide between hundreds of songs!

On the contrary I'm not even sure if I have any options for this. From my entire longlist. I'll have a deeper look while confirmations are going on, if I do enter I want to get it right. Even if it is not a success.

Thought I was pretty much set on an entry for this, but I've just looked at some other country artists/songs I've known for years and one other one is particularly sticking out. It's really good sonically and I can think of a few people who might appreciate it.

Got two major potentials for this, I feel like the veto pool for this is gonna be pretty small considering not a lot of people consider country as a potential and it's mainly a staple in the US (or Australia if you're Keith Urban).

I haven't bothered to look for an entry yet. Feels like I have endless options but I honestly think it'll be a struggle to find something that the rest of you might like.
 I'll try not to go TOO cheap even though it'd still be a discovery to almost everyone else.Needless to say, I'm so hyped for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
