Good evening Buzzjackers
 It's Week 9 in the quiz season and time for something a little different - Quick Fire Quiz!!  There will be 10 questions and you will only have 12 seconds to answer each question so you must be quick!!  Every answer will be a number. The closest you are to the correct answer, the better you will score. For example if I asked "How many guns did Greenday sing about it their 2009 song" the answer would be 21. If there were 30 participants and you said 21 you would get 30 points. Next closest answer gets 29 points etc. down to 1 point for the furthest away answer. Highest score at the end wins!! FYI wasn't in my original post but have updated to say if no answer for a question you will score whatever the answer is as points....

That was difficult! I know I got a few of them spot on but others were a wild guess. One of them I was trying to submit but there was a problem with the page and then I ran out of time so that will go down as a blank entry

Entered I didn’t quite have time to guess an answer for the Whitney one but I full on just guessed everything there
 the Madonna question I think (and hope) I got right although I may be a year off. As for me being a Rihanna mod her question really stumped me there! Oops |

Guys, just thinking what might be fairer on the scoring (as the correct answers vary in size) is to have the correct/closest answer scoring 0 points, then the next closest answer scoring 1 point etc. until the furthest away scores the number of participants as a score e.g. 32 for 32 participants.
As otherwise could have someone who was super close on 9/10 questions and then far off on one with a larger number which completely scuppers them. I think this may be better on reflection than what I was originally proposing.... This post has been edited by chrissmith276: Nov 30 2020, 06:20 PM |
