October 21, 200916 yr The only chance The Saturdays have to turn the album around, position wise, is well into January... and Ego's effect will wear off by then. I personally don't see why in the current low selling album market that 9-31 is particularly excusable. It might sell 23,000 in a fortnight - following a #2 single, plus the previous success of the debut album? That's a flop so far. If this is happening in such an easy chart climate, how will things magically turn around as things get a lot more competitive with much higher sales in November / December? I'm unfortunately not seeing it. Ego is a fantastic song imo, one of the best on the album, but I can only see it helping to the extent that the album hangs around at unremarkable positions over the Christmas period, while selling 'ok'. I just think if the album was going to be big, it'd have been big now. We can only wait and see how this will turn out I guess! Edited October 21, 200916 yr by -Jay-
October 21, 200916 yr ego is going to be realesed i think december 14 which is when sales are so wordshaker will have big increase in sales Exactly. Saturdays are suffering what I call a Sweet Escape Run (gwen)...suffering from what people consider a bad lead single but with the definite opportunity to rise with better singles. I can see the appeal of the group and they can definitely pull off something better than "Forever is Over" which is their worst single so far. And "Get Sexy" IS better than "Forever Is Over"...shame the Sugababes went insane. If FIO was poor lead single it wouldn't have made it to #2 would it! Its by far their best single for me and galaxies better than that chavy "Get Sexy" song IMO. They should've released Ego in January and the album only after Ego, why the hell they rushed things I don't know but that's why it's underperforming. Had it been Ego and Wordshaker in January, they both would be much more successful than they are now/going to be.
October 21, 200916 yr Seriously people, shut up with the stupid Saturdays v. Sugababes arguments. It's really annoying.
October 21, 200916 yr TBH it's fantastique that's doing it and the thing is he is arguing against other The Saturdays fans

I suppose they're just really hoping to take advantage of Christmas sales by having a single out for then - I'm just worried it'll backfire.
October 21, 200916 yr I'm not arguing with anyone, I'm just trying to voice my opinion which some GA/Sugababes fans on here are completely against by the looks of things. I suppose they're just really hoping to take advantage of Christmas sales by having a single out for then - I'm just worried it'll backfire. I lean more toward the backfiring result, I just don't see any room for it having deserved success in between all the Xmas and Xfactor releases, it could freefall after release and then rise back up in January much like the run of Up.
October 21, 200916 yr the thing is you were putting your opinions across as though they were fact. And the facts that you seemed to be stating were not true, the fact that most of the people you were arguing with are major fans of The Saturdays (e.g me) makes it funny.

I wasn't putting it across as fact, if I did I'd have substantiation to it which I didn't which is why it's just an opinion which you seemed so keen on disproving. I had no idea you were a Sats fan you come across more as a Sats haters and Sugababes fan, I'm not here to argue anyway if you disagree with me - fine and if you take offense to my opinion - sorry.
October 21, 200916 yr God the state of this thread I'd be tempted to start a new one tomorrow and keep it locked :drama: [/bitchmode]
October 21, 200916 yr Which leona song is at 38...Bleeding Love? Footprints? Happy :o? Can't see a Leona song that high, Run is at #94 on iTunes though.
October 21, 200916 yr whoops i was looking at the albums :drama: I have a trigger happy scroll wheel on my mouse  i shall lecture it now <_<
October 21, 200916 yr Like someone very very sensibly said, if wordshaker was ever going to be big, it already would be. Ego will just help the album sell ok in the run up to christmas. I cant see wordshaker ever climbing into the top ten again. Wordshaker is looking to be a flop and i say that as a big fan of the album, its very good. Oh and just so i dont feel left out - get sexy is awful and forever is over is a million times better (atleast the singers look comfortable) Edited October 21, 200916 yr by andyboiuk
October 22, 200916 yr Oh god, I wish I've never entered this thread today ... -_- Ryan, any chance you could tell me where is Madonna - Celebration in the singles?? Thanks :w00t:
October 22, 200916 yr Author Good grief, I wish I didn't step inside this thread, I can't be assed anymore this week. :( I apologise if any request has been unanswered but I can't be bothered to troll thru 15 pages, its just all time consuming.
