October 21, 200916 yr FIO 3 x 4 Wordshaker 3 x 10 + 1 :o What a flop! BIG flop - But not suprising as the lead single was awful :puke2:
October 21, 200916 yr Could the UK number 1 sell more than the US number 1 this week ?? :o It already has - Britney's "3" (the #1 selling single in the sales chart just released) sold 171,583. Although probably really need to compare the sales announced in the US next Wednesday, as those cover broadly the same period, whereas the sales just announced are for Monday 12th Oct-Sunday 19th Oct.
October 21, 200916 yr Do you know what? We're gonna have to whole top 3 albums over 30k. It's been a while since we got that.
October 21, 200916 yr Do we know the sales for the remaining top 10 albums ie No's 6-10? so can see the differance in sales. Cheers Also whats the sales for Madonnas-Celebration album?. Thxs.

October 21, 200916 yr Is it that rare? Must happen a couple of times a year. Particularly with the X Factor winner and various charity releases every year.
October 21, 200916 yr Kylie's CGYOMH sold 306k in its first week, so it's incredible to think Cheryl's not going to be far off that this week. :o
October 21, 200916 yr BIG flop It wasn't a big flop. It debuted in the top 10, "Chasing Lights" didn't and took a while before it even reached #9. "Wordshaker" has all the time in the world to sell, it's only in its second week FFS. Remember how Little Boots rebounded after the 5-40 drop, would you call her album a flop now? No. And these drops are quite regular anyway, especially for popular artists/groups who aren't quite established yet because most of their target market only buys in the first week of release where the new market tends to pick up only around the time when the album's second or third single is released. "Wordshaker" could easily outsell "Chasing Lights" IMHO, it is such an ace album, just give it a bit of time, it's still way too early to call it a flop, a top 10 album is anything but! I'm so proud of how on-par their sophomore era is going in comparison to their debut! Definitely shows their era consistancy abilities, something that both Sugababes and Girls Aloud lacked with the likes of "Catfights & Spotlights" and "Chemistry". But not suprising as the lead single was awful :puke2: Awful? It's their highest-peaking proper single, you must be alone in your opinion. It's easily my favourite song by them so far and I'm a huge fan of them - that says something. A lead single that fits the puke category in my opinion would easily be "Get Sexy" :/ Hopefuly "Forever Is Over" can outsell and outrun that utter tripe, it's by far the superior lead single and I'm over the moon at how well it's holding up at the moment! I'd be so pleased if it's top 15 by Sunday to secure it some steady staying power.
October 21, 200916 yr do u reckon cheryl will sell over 12k from now till saturday! or do u reckon she wont, or will so deffiantly!!!!!!!!!

October 21, 200916 yr Album sales must be really bad! Alex's figures are 50% of what I was expecting. Will be interesting to see how Cheryl performs with her album.
October 21, 200916 yr Sorry to that sats fan but dropping to 31 and falling in the 2nd week is looking to be a flop. Edited October 21, 200916 yr by andyboiuk
October 21, 200916 yr Sorry to that sats fan but dropping to 31 and falling in the 2nd week is looking to be a flop. It is impossible to tell if an album is a flop based on week two sales.
October 21, 200916 yr It is impossible to tell if an album is a flop based on week two sales. Sorry then, its flopp-ing! (with potential to pull it back)
