Oh god, I wish I've never entered this thread today ... -_-

Ryan, any chance you could tell me where is Madonna - Celebration in the singles?? Thanks :w00t:

48+3

Now I won't speak in this thread until tomorrow -_-

Cheryl is going to do atleast 300k by Sunday then.

It's gonna be very close. She sold 41k two days ago, and yesterdat she sold 35k... It needs to sell 30k a day today, tomorrow and on Saturday to pass the 300k mark.

Forget Cheryl, surely the best news of the week is that 'I'm Yours' is climbing back up the top 40 again. :kink:

Lol :heehee: :D

Cheryl is going to end the week very close to 300k - I reckon she'll just fall short, by around 1-5k. There's an outside chance she'll sneak it though, looks unlikely at the moment.

Just noticed Christina Aguilera its faller faster than Ryan's.... errr... pants

How depressing, the chavettes have way too much pocket money.

Still it could have been worse, I'm glad Katie Price doesn't have a single.

Happens every week with the X Factor tracks, as they don't have any ongoing radio play to support them beyond late Monday/early Tuesday.

Thursday Top 40 Update

1 Cheryl Cole 210.8k (Wed 34.9k)

She'll probably fall just short of 300k for the week, I'd say.

3 Chipmunk 27.7k (Wed 5.5k)

4 Robbie Williams 27.4k (Wed 6.0k)

5 Whitney Houston 26.5k (Wed 5.7k)

Albums

1 Alexandra Burke 78.9k (Wed 15.8k)

After reading through several pages of pointless argument, please keep this thread on topic.

Discussion is more than fine, but please back it up sensibly with fact!

Kylie's CGYOMH sold 306k in its first week, so it's incredible to think Cheryl's not going to be far off that this week. :o

with absolutely no disrespect to Cheryl's achievement + for those saying just hype, i'd say there is successful hype (Cheryl's) + LMAO pathetic desperate failure type of hype - which a more suitable eg there could not be in relation to the topic of the quote - of course meaning the GOD HORRIFIC, OXYGEN WASTING, MONSTROSITY than is Victoria Twatham and the launch of her pre-album/career launching first fully solo single + chart "battle" ( as it turned out) with Kylie.

Yes cgyoomh could have been a big hit for anyone even as a debut (EVEN for Sticktoria Closet Bulimia) but wrt to Kylie's sales how difficult does it get to keep selling records 14 years (1988-2001) into a career (how many entertainer/Pop stars as opposed to serious musicians even still have such significant chart relevance at that point - or females at the Granny age of 32! :o ) to keep coming back after numerous periods of dwindling sales. How many artists have a million selling single 14 years into their career with the consistency/degree of sales/hits Kylie has had (certainly not even Vadge in the UK - she's never had anything NEAR a million selling single that far into her career but then again her consistency/degree of sales even p!sses over Kylie's) and STILL manage to shift records 8 years after?
