October 20, 200916 yr How much did Leona sell of bleeding love in the first week? I thought it was about 230k?? 218,805 I just find it incredible that a song like FFTL (while it is a pleasant enough little pop ditty - certainly not great) looks like its going to beat Leona's sales. I find bits of it sound just like a direct rip of Kelis' Little Star. Ah well ... worse things happen at sea and it'll soon be Christmas. Norma Edited October 20, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
October 20, 200916 yr :o Alphabeta :( I really hope and think that they will be top 15 by wednesday. I just hope 'the spell' doesn't do a '22' :(.
October 20, 200916 yr I really hope and think that they will be top 15 by wednesday. I just hope 'the spell' doesn't do a '22' :(. That would be horrific but i don't know if it will, its publicity is kinda being overshadowed by The X-Factor <_<
October 20, 200916 yr Dont get me wrong, leonas song is good and i am sure her sales are going to be good but the fact remains that leona is not as popular as cheryl. Cheryl makes her song likeable, leona really doesnt, people just go for the song with leona, not her as a person. I'm not saying cheryl only sells well because she is popular as a person, but i think it pushes her that little bit further out. Plus, happy is not as good as run and bleeding love. But yes, leona will blow everyone away with happy on the xfactor like she always does.
October 20, 200916 yr Leona confirmed - November 8th she's on the X Factor with "Happy"... I think it's just an ok song but... who am I? BTW - "I Got U" from her album has just leaked and it's nice, semi upbeat song like Bleeding love. (it's track number 2 on the album) Edited October 20, 200916 yr by omrimayo

October 20, 200916 yr ^^ not as likeable as cheryl by a long shot. Cheryl is lucky in that people get to see her on so many shows etc so they get to know what she is like as a person, leona is much less out the spotlight and sorry but she is pretty dull. Its all about the voice with her, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. Obviously some people like leona as a person, but they probably make the effort to see it rather than it just being there. October 20, 200916 yr There is no way Leona will beat Cheryl's opening week sales. I'm a betting man and i'd put big money on Cheryl beating Leona's sales. Two main reasons. The first being Happy is really not that good. It's average at best and a weak comeback single for appealing to the mass audiences. The 2nd being the exposure Cheryl gets compared to Leona is second to none. Seriously. Cheryl Cole is NEVER out of the papers, and she's on the biggest TV show every week right now. Granted Leona might put in a great performance but she's no way near got the might to match Cheryl Cole. She's the media darling, and she really does appeal to every group of people - tabloid readers, lads mags etc. etc. - Leona simply doesn't.

Norma Don't forget single sales are roughly 50% higher (someone will have an accurate figure) than they were when Bleeding Love was released. Leona and Take That's sales that first week of 219k and 98k were phenomenal when put into context against Alex and Robbie's sales last week given the prevailing "trading conditions".
October 21, 200916 yr I'm really looking forward to the update :D I wanna see how much more Cheryl has sold :P iTunes data better not be missing! lol
October 21, 200916 yr What are people expecting to see Ms Cole on today? I might go make a cuppa before posting :kink:
