Does Your Love sample another song? Because it sounds familiar, like a classic 80's song or something?

Annie Lennox - No More I Love Yous

Heard all the songs on headlines and missing you is the best and was the clear option for lead single. Saturday fans you have to stop finding exuses of them not going to #1, it hasnt gone to #1 because they havent got the fanbase strength unfortunately. They'll just have to settle with #2's and top 10s, nothing wrong with that.

Your excuse is that they don't have the fanbase to get a #1? That's completely stupid.

How do you think debut artists get to #1? If the song is commercial enough and is liked, people will buy it. It's not just the fanbase that buys an act's music.

^ I'm not saying it is soley the fanbase that get a song to #1, you interpreting it that way is "completely stupid".

It is a major factor in a song getting to #1, debut artists are the same, 'The Wanted' built a fanbase and all their fans bought their single straight when released, got to #1, then slipped straight away to #5. Same with acts like katy perry, eminem, leona lewis, lady gaga etc their fanbases immediately buy the song which gets normally an initial high peak, then obviously people who like the song and not particularly part of the artists fanbase buy the song too.

Wow didnt realise such a simple comment needs so much explanation.

'The writer' double-up to #25 and #44 !

Fanbases can only be an extra push for artists who would fail to reach #1 without them.

JLS and The Wanted (and maybe the Saturdays this week) would have never made it to #1 without their huge fanbase, looking at where they dropped during the second week.

I interpreted it how you wrote it. <_<

And considering you are constantly saying "they don't have a big enough fanbase", it's no wonder I thought that.

Using The Wanted as an example is too predictable. Considering that they are a boyband who have probably gained many of JLS' fans, it was obvious that they were going to do well.

Thank You bert for lashes, i'm glad my comment wasnt too complicated for everyone to understand. <_< Pretty simple if you ask me.

In all Honesty I never though they'd get a number 1, very stiff competition. I completely forgot I predicted a top 5, as they were so close to a #1.

Ohh well they are looking to see 50k + which is fantastic for them. I just hope Healines does well that's the main thing.

Looks as though Eminem will get a number next week, witht he physical and E.P out. I do like the song but Rihanna makes it IMO.

Also, Anyone noticed Rumour - Slow creeping up the albums chart it's at #17 now, could this be a number 1, it's beautiful

On another note, I'm shocked Tinchy is that low..just goes to show how many good songs are out at the moment..It really is tough and without all The Sats efforts they could easily have missed a top 10 placing.

Are The Sats slipping or is Eminem's lead just increasing?

Comparing to Flo Rida, the Sats are slipping and Eminem is increasing.

I think The Saturdays are slipping as Ne-Yo is getting closer to them as well...
cant see the sats being #1 in tomorrows mid weeks if they are be by a very small amount i think they will be #2 on fridays mid weeks and could even end up #3 by sunday if eminem keep raising like they are i wanted the sats to get there first #1 too but obv not ment to be

I am sure you are just kidding but you really do not think rap acts or rap music is only about acting manly, rowdy or hard. From Eve, Nicky, MC Lyte, Trina,Salt n Peppa, Charli Baltimore and Rah Digga plus the newer acts Medinah and Mona Lisa are none of those things.

Is 'Love The Way You Lie' Video on Viva/4Music yet? :)

^ Yeah saw it on Viva yesterday :) Not sure about 4music though, not on the top 10 of the day yet so maybe today.

"Eve, Nicky, MC Lyte, Trina,Salt n Peppa, Charli Baltimore and Rah Digga" :- Most of those names are sound pathetic, rah digga? ohdear. All i'm saying is theres a reason there isnt a lot of female rappers, majority of public would not listen to that.

Saturdays #3, definitely not #1 now on sunday, ah wanted them to get it, but hapy for club cant handle me too because its a great tune and has continously climbed from #5 to #2 and now #1.

Your comments are getting ridiculous now.

I suspect you're doing it to bait the other members, but a better place for this discussion is the Hip-Hop forum.

Start a thread there please.

But it's part of the culture of the hip hop genre to have names like that. Are you expecting them to call themselves things like "Lady Antebellum" or "Florence and the Diamonds" or something?
