I suppose the whole point of the campaigns is a protest at the xmas no1's provided by the X factor. I think people think thats its unfair to other artists, who else gets that level of promotion leading up to christmas?

 

But the sad thing is that, in the end, it won't do any harm to the X Factor single, but it will push all the 'deserving' singles down one or more places in the Christmas chart.

The current X Factor winner has been struggling for over a decade to get noticed. I don't get this snobbery about music - a lot of celebrated artists over the years become overnight successes. There are lots of different routes to success not just one.

I'm banned too so I doubt anyone's posted it. Not that Ryan will believe it he has a source don't you know. Shame we don't have sales figures because I'm sure they'll be pretty damning.

 

If someone here really wants to post over there and you've already been banned, you can easily set up a fake facebook profile, just get a fake gmail address, register as anything you want and go make merry.

I think its pretty amazing what one little online group can do, compare that to the millions that has been spent by ITV & the general public votes on X factor. If only the campaign was for some new/ more relevant artist

I'm banned from the Matt Cardle for xmas no1 group. My crime.... I posted a link to a free 320 mp3 download of his single & suggested that the money was better spent elsewhere, I was branded a nut job & a scammer.

So how did Rage triumph last year then over Joe McElderry who had all the Tv spots and promotion as well as the x factor itself?

So your Argument is rubbish. Face facts the Trashmen campaign has nowhere near the momentum Rage had. Add to that a lot of people who supported Rage have switched allegience on account of:

a more favourable song and artist this year

they feel they made their point last year and don't feel like repeating

they maybe supporting another campaign rather than some naff novelty song

Please, lets forget the Trashmen (I prefer the Ramones version anyways). I was only trying to point out in my earlier posts as to why people feel the need to react aginst yet another X factor No1.
