December 16, 201015 yr I suppose the whole point of the campaigns is a protest at the xmas no1's provided by the X factor. I think people think thats its unfair to other artists, who else gets that level of promotion leading up to christmas? But the sad thing is that, in the end, it won't do any harm to the X Factor single, but it will push all the 'deserving' singles down one or more places in the Christmas chart.

Great point – someone should post that on their Facebook page. I nominate Mikey to pay them a visit!! ;)
December 16, 201015 yr The current X Factor winner has been struggling for over a decade to get noticed. I don't get this snobbery about music - a lot of celebrated artists over the years become overnight successes. There are lots of different routes to success not just one. This is one of the best posts i've seen on this site since i joined. Agreed!
December 16, 201015 yr Thursday update:- Matt #1 Trash #3   No sales (yet) but but but Spiidey!!!! Ryan had a source confirming they were now on 65k and ahead of Rihanna! You sir are a faker and have made this up! Matt is on no more than 200k and bird is going to storm to victory on mflow!!!  if any of you bird fans are here: UNLUCKY, not even a load of free downloads could get you above Rihanna. Excuse me while I recover, I'm laughing too hard. Your members are not buying it in anywhere near the numbers claimed! You need to harrassing them some more :cheer:
December 16, 201015 yr Author So funny the Trashmen #3  I bet Ryan (Winters) is looking like a prize twat. And I still cannot post on there, I got no status bar on the Wall page.

I'm banned too so I doubt anyone's posted it. Not that Ryan will believe it he has a source don't you know. Shame we don't have sales figures because I'm sure they'll be pretty damning. If someone here really wants to post over there and you've already been banned, you can easily set up a fake facebook profile, just get a fake gmail address, register as anything you want and go make merry.

I think its pretty amazing what one little online group can do, compare that to the millions that has been spent by ITV & the general public votes on X factor. If only the campaign was for some new/ more relevant artist Maybe if The Trashmen (or any other artist) had been given a couple of hours of prime time weekend TV for the last 10 weeks then they would have made the no1 spot.

I'm banned from the Matt Cardle for xmas no1 group. My crime.... I posted a link to a free 320 mp3 download of his single & suggested that the money was better spent elsewhere, I was branded a nut job & a scammer.
December 16, 201015 yr I never understand why, if you want to stop the X Factor campaign, why not support the current #2 - thats the best chance you're gonna have, and at least it will be a current song. But anyway - really happy Matt is doing so well - hope we get sales info cos I'd love to see what happened yesterday

December 16, 201015 yr Maybe but I doubt anyone would bother watching it as the song and the campaign are quite frankly rubbish. I was using the Trashmen as an example, I wasnt implying that we would all be better off with two hours of surfin bird every weekend.

So how did Rage triumph last year then over Joe McElderry who had all the Tv spots and promotion as well as the x factor itself? Did I miss Killing in The Name of being performed on loose women? So your Argument is rubbish. Face facts the Trashmen campaign has nowhere near the momentum Rage had. Add to that a lot of people who supported Rage have switched allegience on account of: a more favourable song and artist this year they feel they made their point last year and don't feel like repeating they maybe supporting another campaign rather than some naff novelty song are you from the trashmen group, I notice you joined this morning, perhaps you would like to inform them they still lie behind Rihanna and although it is a modestly good achievement to get in the top 3, the group is hardly little with 600 000 members if they got off their backsides they would win but they are now undoubtedly too far behind. People on the facebook group were under the notion matt fans would be grateful for a free download, nope they support the artist therefore buying the single. Not surprised you got banned they aren't stupid at least they know how the chart works which is more than could be said for the bird fans who called the official chart company press release as "fake" deary me.
December 16, 201015 yr I was using the Trashmen as an example, I wasnt implying that we would all be better off with two hours of surfin bird every weekend. Ah ok, the thought of being inflicted by the bird for 2 hours for the 10 weeks prior to Xmas was too horrific to contemplate.

But anyway - really happy Matt is doing so well - hope we get sales info cos I'd love to see what happened yesterday Because apparently Rihanna is one of Simon Cowell's' 'friends' so they can't or that'll be supporting X Factor. And according to midweek sales they are not far behind Ri. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=155...134615893253740 Edited December 16, 201015 yr by *xmasG*
December 16, 201015 yr Author If people are reporting this group we need to stop replying to trolls and stop wrtting stuff that could get us shut down Seems the Facebook campaign is been investigated for multi-buyng  talk about shooting themselves in the foot. They could really disqualify the track from charting. What a batch of eejits.

What a batch of eejits. Ooh, hope that happens - Ellie might have a chance at top 3 - Take that would be in the top 5 and Katy Perry would make the top 10

Please, lets forget the Trashmen (I prefer the Ramones version anyways). I was only trying to point out in my earlier posts as to why people feel the need to react aginst yet another X factor No1. Maybe I wasnt clear enough or maybe it would help if you read through my posts again without focusing on the trashmen campaign.
December 16, 201015 yr  They've made their own midweeks: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=155...134615893253740

What a batch of eejits. Hilarious stuff, there's enough stuff on there from people gloating about downloading nth number of times and abusing mflow to definitely get the track thrown out, which would be a shame because we couldn't then ej enjoy them saving face with how amazing it is to get to number 3 despite the fact they were slaughtered in their primary aim of reaching Xmas number 1
