January 7, 201115 yr Maybe - but the nature of your first single can decide whether radio/TV will touch your later releases. Of course, if your first song contains lots of 'naughty' words, then the media won't be allowed, by their own rules, to give you a break. That's balls to be fair, she's not having that problem at the moment and it's obvious she's not going to for her future releases. I still don't like this song, but her next single is great.

He had sold out in our huge Tesco this morning (again) His mum shops there, does she? :P Not *that* many, no - he was 2nd on downloads last week, which mean his physical sales must have been, at a minimum, 15k (his lead over Ri), and no more than 36k (the gap between him & BEP). If we split the difference & say 25k physicals last week, then it's logical to assume he'd sell singificantly fewer this week. I'd guess he'll be selling 60k max this week, with 15k of these being CD's. Edited January 7, 201115 yr by vidcapper
January 7, 201115 yr Hopefully James Blake will sneak into the top 40 with today and tomorrow sales. Yeah, I suspect he'll get in the top 40 on Sunday. I hope S&M gets in too, but I really doubt it. I think it'll chart at #48 or something.

January 8, 201115 yr I think it's because all of the popbars of the songs in the top 10 are fairly close together, so if the songs sales are climbing, they will get through the rest of the songs quite easily (ie. Katy B, Jessie J) I think that if/when Nero gets into the iTunes top 10, the same will happen to them.

January 8, 201115 yr Infact, once I was following the "Almost Saturday" charts when listening to the actual chart show, and most of the positions were correct, and there was nothing that was massively out. Don't know if it's usually that accurate, or if I just got lucky.
