Boooo at my odds. To be expected though. For the first time in any contest (probably since I sent Keri Hilson actually, come to think about it...), I feel like I have the best entry (usually there are one or two discoveries where I'd rank them above my own). Ah well. I was always only expecting this to do about as well as Kat DeLuna 'Push Push'.

Regards to Numayania's best entries... it's either Mimmi Sanden or Fibes, Oh Fibes! for me. HURTS & Alphabeat in 3rd and 4th, respectively. Rontvia's best for me are; Anna Abreu 'Music Everywhere', Sheelah 'The Last Time', Sheelah 'Psycho', Shackles 'Breaking The Silence', Maria & Mira 'Mine All Mine', Beautiful Small Machines 'Robots In Love', Pixie 'Boys & Girls' & Emiliana Torrini 'Jungle Drum'... all incredibly strong. We all know Ashton is Lorelei Carlson 'Alone' (and that's all that matters tbqphwya)

Poor forgotten Shackles :( My favourite Ojnoj entry is quite easily the gorgeous Noah & The Whale song, which led me to buy its parent album  I pretty much would have ignored that era of theirs otherwise.

Shackles was fantastic. Dated, but fantastic nonetheless. Noah & The Whale  Quite surprised actually... thought you'd say Keri for some reason

It had a strong melody, I loved it! It was never going to be a massive hit on BJSC though, mid-tempo girlband songs aren't typical top of the table fodder

Keri musically definitely actually, in fact I think I did discover it first from you sending it to BJSC :o I'd forgotten about that!

Noah was easily your most 'inspired' entry though, and I think the only time I've given you my top points, although you've come close on a number of other occasions!

I'd ADORE jj to do well, but considering their previous entry finished last place in it's semi, I doubt it'll happen.

ALONE!!!!!

It's nice to see someone else love that song as much as i do. Criminal flop right thur.

So Elka isn't right at all?

Yolka 'Provans' is currently charting in the HET30 (this week #22). Interesting to find out more information on the artists name and it's pronounciation. Kudos to Pavel. :D

I found out it was pronouced Yolka whilst trying to find a single cover for 'Provans' for the HET30 thread. Ended up just finding a snapshot from the music video instead, unless by some co-incidence that is the single artwork. :D In Latvia and Ukraine, they refer to her as Elka whilst, as Pavel has mentioned, in Russia they call her Ёлка (which makes me think of Enya!!! )

Елка=Ёлка=Yolka =/= Elka=Элка...

regardless of the whereabouts.

You can technically spell it 'Elka' only if you pronounce it as 'Yolka', which makes the whole thing too complicated for foreigners.

Edited by Pavel

Ella = Yolka I can live with. But Provans = Provence?!

Caroline and Zowie are still the best Rontvian entries for me.

Also Darin (not counting Nora because it's in my language) remains still my favorite entry :snif:...yeah after 20 contests.

I'm cheering up for Miss Berger this time.

and low set of odds this time around...Top Of The World isn't that bad :snif:...at least it's improvement from Dev - Monster :P.

Does it mean the region in France in the song? I couldn't tell

Apparantly so, but for some reason all the chart websites list the song as 'Provans'. Maybe that's how they spell "Provence" in their country? Even on the Russian chart website I use, if I translate the page it becomes "Provans" as well.

I didn't know you competed! :o Which country are you?

This is why I'm confused because I'm charting her under the name given to me by a Ukrainian person!

Plus, Hits, you really should consider entering this contest, I'd love to hear what entries you'd send! :D

What is wrong with my entry exactly? Am I always automatically near the bottom of the odds? <_ i give up with this really do>

He doesn't, but we'd be more than happy to have him ^_^

I loved Like Me. It was AMAZING. I still listen to it often. And Emma Deigman  [sp?]

Nothing! It's just not the sort of song that usually attracts mass votes. There's nothing automatic about it, if you'd been sending Tyron's entry for example, I'd put you at the top.

These odds aren't supposed to cause offence, it's merely predictions of what will and won't do well!

Ditto the above.

My odds aren't a prediction of the final results, they're a rank of which songs have the best chance of winning!
