Actually the video to 'The A Team' has been played on the music channels (ie; VIVA, Chart Show TV, MTV Hits) but shots of the female smoking a joint have been blurred/pixelated which is stupid because you can still tell what's going on. I did notice on the live acoustic version shown on The Box they edited out the word "class" from the chorus so their version goes "they say she's in the.........A team". Subtle!!!

Also you can't really compare 'The A Team' to 'Hey, Soul Sister' even though both are based around an acoustic guitar driven melody, the lyrics to 'The A Team' are much more thought provoking.

Pleasing to see Ed Sheeran and Beyonce overtaking Jason Derulo. Now let Derulo keep sliding - Example to overtake then any other song that's able to.

He made a comment on his Facebook page that music channels won't show it because of the content, yet screen the likes of Rihanna's S&M in the daytime which could be viewed as soft porn

If I was him I'd make an alternative video with the studio version just to get it out there on music channels as it could be even bigger than it already is if that happened.

I see it getting played on the music channels, probably at least 5 times a day.

Is it the actual video though, or a live performance? Because I've only ever seen the video at night, and an acoustic performance during the chart show type countdowns.

Edit: Just seen Hits post, that doesn't surprise me, I assume you don't see her receiving the powder or taking the man back either?

The actual video. I'm shock because i haven't seen the live performance once before on tv. :o

The Saturday's are actually doing really well with Notorious now.

It has a really odd chart run but glad its climbing on iTunes thanks to free advertising of 59p songs, also don't know if anyone had noticed but Notorious is on an advert for 'Sexy dirty things' or whatever that trailor trash show is called about Z list models...

Fingers crossed 'All fired up' does well too.

Sad to see bey falling though

Ugh. Evanescnece back in the top 40 again :puke:

Brilliant for Ed, new iTunes peak and hopefully TAT can go top 5 again officially :D

I compared them because of the melody as you said, and the fact that this will probably hang around for ages like HSS did, obviously they are very different themes

great to see it get a new peak, I'm expecting a long chart run for this - great to see Evanescence back in the top 40 too  its too late this week but 59p songs usually do well for beyond a week so it has a chance next week! it would be amazing to see that and Fix You back in the top 40

If only Super Bass was 59p, that would rocket top 5!
FFS. Adele is about to overtake Nicki! She's going to get top 10 before her :drama:

I agree, even just 79p to get atleast top 10. Brilliant song, it deserves a top 5 though.

Louder's lead is *still* holding up extremely well :o Ed is on 0.46 which is only +0.08 from what Jason was on at Fresh's peak! (Again I'm not factoring in Loick as that would be unfair)

55. Rolling in the Deep (Live from iTunes Festival: London 2011) - Linkin Park

:o This could become the third version of RITD to chart in less than half a year! It's climbing really fast too (it's #100 on the LivePopBars feed, for example)

If you reduced the price of virtually anything down far enough, it would storm into the T5.
