This is too true the way the X-factor judges talked about her you would think she was the UK version of Nicki but she is not even Lady Sovereign standard, it is all hype over substance.I hope she starts dropping by mid week the song is dire.

Exactly, this is the thing about X Factor I can't stand, once anyone from that show release's a song, good or so bad, it goes straight to number 1 in this country, SJ will do well but Cher's follow up singles will do a Diana, the hype will fade away.

She will be singing her 2nd single on x-factor so dont expect that hype to die away too soon

I agree totally with that, although I have like some of the contestants over the years. The placings in the charts are often to do with who is popular at the moment, hype of course and nothing at all to do with the song.

OK we'll give her another single. Then without the X Factor prop she can fade into obscurity.

It will be interesting too see which way it goes; It could go Diana Vickers; but then again if Cher is on the XF then her hype will be prolonged for the 2nd single etc

She's a cert for thetop this week - I wanna see how well she holds up thoughout the week/ next week

Sickening.

The UK public need their heads testing buying this rubbish and although I sound like a stuck record, Syco has had an input with the sales in this.

As for One Direction, surely they must be the only act EVER to have merchandise and marketing before releasing a single. Again pretty boys with no talents who only appeal to young girls and the deaf.

A sad state of affairs here.....and something must be done.

Blimey you over react.

Get some perspective on life. And that paedo bit is out of order. Watch what you post please.

Of course Syco have had an input - they're her record label, they're supposed to be trying to increase her sales

Another completely bollocks post from Joinwithus. I reckon we still have 4-7 more to go this year, from the new #1s by Olly Murs, JLS' second single, the charity single, the winner's single and maybe Leona and/or Matt and/or One Direction if they get there as well. (Although tehy'll probably get a post of this nature even if they don't) :D

I've edited my post.

I enjoy the charts, but the music industry is in a sorry state like the economy here. OK, this has gone on for years, but why so many great songs such as "Set Fire To The Rain" can't make #1 yet some slag who has probably had herpes gets to #1 with a nonsense song and can't sing and rap.

Ok, too far again - time to up your warn level.

Get some life perspective - really is it worth getting to annoyed about a song (perfectly allowable and legal) to get to #1? It isn't breaking any rules! There are ALOT worse things going on in life than this. Jeez.

How exactly would Set Fire To The Rain get to #1 anyway? It's done extremely well to get to #11 given the album has sold nearly 3 million copies already...

LOL at the over reaction on here! Ha.

Also on the whole X Factor making her out to be a rapper. I agree. She did not rap during TMSO. She was a clear urban artist at that point, and I am annoyed how they made her out to be some sort of female Eminem or the next Nicki Minaj or something. Especially when she was more the next/more successful Keri Hilson. But who cares? I still adore her and at the moment am loving anything she touches, but bleh. I guess I'm just one of those who "needs their head testing"

Anyone who's bought Swagger Jagger shouldn't have the right to buy music. It's awful and Cher was much better on the actual show.

I actually don't mind the song - it is waaaaay too catchy to be ignored!

Are you proposing some dictatorship of buying music? Is the only acceptable music in this dictatorship the music you like?

I am glad the UK is a democracy
