Good to see a big shake up in the top 6. It was getting a bit stale. Should increase sales.

We might have a brand new top-3 this week, as I think all of three new top-10 entries will get there. The only thing is sales, I think they will still be relatively low, maybe 60-80k for Wretch 32. Nero sold about 40k+ this week, which is very ridiculous, I stand from it.

 

And Modestep have a small chance of getting into the top-10 too.

 

I think the fact sales throughout the last 7 days have been so low is the exact reason why there appears to be this "clearout". It's just the songs are climbing higher faster but probably still only selling relatively average?

 

Like you say, Nero this week has probably sold between 35-45k so next week 'Promises' will definitely sell less. Maybe even closer to 25k. So if Wretch 32, Maroon 5, Emeli and even Modestep (a long shot though) were to sell anything over 50k, that's next weeks top 4 made up of new entries.

 

How much did 'Unorthodox' sell in its first week of release? I'd be really surprised if 'Don't Go' sold more in the next 7 days - even with the extra remixes.

Moves Like Jagger 2

I hope Maroon 5/Xtina or (even better) Emeli get to number 1, Don't Go is so dull compared to Unorthodox and Traktor, if they missed number 1 so should Don't Go! :(

Fairly sure 'Moves Like Jagger' will end up taking #1 - that song has much broader appeal than Wretch 32, plus airplay for it is only just getting going (my local station only gave it it's first play yesterday)... but it's so radio-friendly that that situation is going to change very quickly... Radio 1 will probably put it straight onto their B-List or maybe even A-List.

 

Wretch 32 have probably shot up so quickly only because they have a bigger hardcore fanbase.
