242. Beyonce - 1+1

A music video has just been released for this I think, so it could climb (it's already climbed a lot, as you can see). It's my least favourite of all the songs I've heard from the album though. :(

Is she not doing some story with all her videos ?

It's a lovely video, and it's well shot but there's no real concept ?

It's probably even more than that, since Compare My Radio does not track every single song that's played on the radio (e.g. I've heard Jealousy on Capital, but according to that website it hasn't been played on Capital before).

Not to mention, based from experience, I hear it probably every 3 hours on there, so that's more like 8 times a day.

I never thought about that about Jar of Hearts and Heart FM. You could be right.

Talking about Heart FM, Count on Me by Bruno Mars is now #101! I think, in this case, 99% of the promotion of this song comres from Heart FM (since it's not a single, it will only be getting the odd play on other stations, I suspect), so it will be quite useful for future reference as to how much (or little) influence Heart has on the chart.

I wonder if Count On me will become a single. It's increased a lot in Australia and New Zealand in the last week too, I believe it is in the top 50 in New Zealand.

Maybe. Australia and New Zealand do tend to get singles way before the rest of the world for some reason. For example, E.T. by Katy Perry got to #1 in New Zealand before the fact that Kanye West would be on the single version was even announced. I don't know why they're so far ahead all the time. They sometimes even have to release extra singles at the end to fill the time while the other countries catch up (e.g. from Lady Gaga's last era, they released Dance in the Dark and Monster as singles there whilst everywhere else in the world was still on Alejandro).

Anyway, I'm rambling on here. Odds for Count On Me being the next single look good. He may aswell release it next if it's charting in all these countries already.

I've always wondered why newly announced singles go top 10 basically straight away in Aus/NZ, particularly New Zealand. I think the fact it's a small market helps.

I noticed this too... Even with Gaga's first album. Single 5 for them (Paparazzi) peaked at the same time as it did in the UK for a 3rd single. Although Just Dance was released a bit before there than here I think.

But New Zealand is worst. I can't remember what the two tracks were but there was speculation between two songs for a single by the same artist and one rocketed to the top 10 and it turned out the real single was the other. I wish the UK was as eager with new releases as Aus & NZ. :)

Being at Reading Festival for the whole day, I wasn't online to get an update anywhere near 8pm today. It's highly unlikely there'll be one tomorrow or the next day either.

I did, however, just about manage to get an update within the actual day (literally at 11:59 ) which I may post tomorrow morning if I'm online for a while before I leave again.

 93. Ruffneck (FULL Flex) - Skrillex

:w00t: Hope this can make the official top 100. Skrillex could potentially be huge in 2012.

Also, are people really predicting that Cover Drive song to go top 10? I don't see it personally and I really hope I'm not wrong about that :puke:

That 'Lick Ya Down' song has been everywhere lately. (Well on the music channels) but it wouldn't surprise me if they "did a Six-D".

What's happened to 'Night of Your Life - David Guetta & Jennifer Hudson'. It was #13 yesterday, but now seems to have vanished?

As always that just begs the question - if they didn't want people buying it early, why release it early?

Well, it's a promo single. So they do want people buying it early. It's still on iTunes in all the other countries I think, and the other promo singles are still on UK iTunes. I think there's probably just been an error or mistake somewhere. I hope it still charts top 40.

Technically, virtually all singles are promos - for their parent albums...

Yes, that's true. But I think generally people use the term "promo singles" to refer to songs released before their albums, but that aren't sent to radio, do not have a music video, do not have physicals, etc.

Well some have music videos such as Rihanna's Wait Your Turn. And radio stations may pick them up anyway like Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory. And they may even be pushed after the albums release such as Beyonce's Why Don't You Love Me.

Marry You  10 What the water gave me  11

Yay! :D

and

Nay! :(

Hopefully Florence will stabilise once the song starts getting promoted.

Also does anyone know where Party All Night (Sleep All Day) is combined? It must be getting very close to the top 10.
