This hasn't done too well has it? Better than Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor) I suppose, but then again that song was dreadful ... you'd think the follow-up to Give Me Everything would do better than #28 with an average chart run though!

It's getting promoted as a single now. It's previous chart run was just it charting as an album track (and airplay from Capital).

I like Lighters, but it sounds so out of place on the album!

Oh, that's good. I just bought it. I always thought it was the single back then, as Kiss was ramming it down everyone's throats as well. Hopefully it'll go higher next week.

What's going on with Tinchy & Calvin that's so exciting then? Probably just a twitter argument.

Hey Baby just didn't get promoted very much. In a country where it DID get promoted (the US), it got to #2 on iTunes.

Still confused as to how that happened.

The USA is also a country where people care about Pitbull and T-Pain. (Arguably some people do care about Pitbull here as his new album hasn't done too awfully by rap album standards but still)

Third week in the top 40 for Modestep :D

Sunlight!!!; i'm not normally a huge fan of dubstep but I absoloutley love this song! I've loved it since the first time I heard it
I love singing over this and singing 'This shit hurts my ears'.

Rain Over Me; thought this song would have at least cracked the top 15 by now :o

These generic dance songs are a law of diminishing returns tbh, they get worse in terms of quality and have less success.

Yes Sean Kingston might be top 10 today but it's older and it's only done so well cos it's in the Inbetweeners movie.

Excuse me? I'm not in the US, but I care about T-Pain. Just because you don't like his music, it doesn't mean you shouldn't care about him. He's a HUMAN!!!!

The quality thing is surely subjective - personally I think 'Rain Over Me' is better than the vast majority of the other generic rap-dance-club hits of the last couple of years. I think it's just because people are finally starting to tire of the sound.

Next To You still top 40 :puke: So glad it never went top 10 though :D

Blergh. This has spent way too long in the top 40!
