Yes and maybe Reggie should get over it No 1 for 2 wks and not playlisted was hilarious

Not as hilarious as Shakira's Hips Don't Lie being #1 for 7 weeks without being played ONCE on Radio 1

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but isn't it a bit tasteless to play Leona Lewis Collide today?

Leona Lewis is not a building

Find it weird that Reggae keeps saying that Leona Lewis and Pixie Lott are fighting for number one...

He's an eejit.

Nero's Welcome Reality chart run has been even worse than that of 'Promises' - 1-8-17-32. They have been the luckiest act this year in terms of getting to #1.

17  (from 27) Adele - Someone Like You [D]

It was Chris Moyles that said there'd no way it'd get to #1 for 2 weeks I think. Although maybe they both did.

I was also a bit surprised at how well it did, to be fair, but it was a bit of an over-reaction! :o

Chris Moyles slagged it off on his show the next day (it wasn't even playlisted on Radio 1 to begin with).

I remember he said something like 'I bet you a fiver it won't be no.1 next week'.........and then it was. Mainly due to no competition.

Surely The Script, Mcfly, Alesha Dixon and Linkin Park who were all on the Radio 1 A-list were competition :P

BBC should be celebrating British talent and success, not moaning about it!
16th week top 20 and 31st week top 40 for this. Should have sailed past 1.1mill too. :D
Leona Lewis is not a building

If Collide is tasteless to play today, Fly was tasteless too  (And we could go on with songtitles...)

They have nothing to do with 9/11

Someone Like You was a nice song, until the radio started playing it. And they haven't stopped.

As much as I love Adele, I'm a tad sick of her at the moment.

But I still prefer 19 to 21. :P

I agree, and I'm far from an Alexandra loon (although I love two or three of her songs) but I just cannot fathom why she receives so much bile from them. Other X Factor acts get playlisted with songs as tacky/cheesy (delte as applicable) as Start Without You and get the full weight of their support with similar 'cookie-cutter pop' as they like to term it. It just makes no sense to me at all and the BBC should not be holding personal vendettas against individual's, it's very unprofessional, especially bringing it up again a year after it happened. Talk about sour grapes...

but I don't think the second week had ANY new top 10 entries, so it pretty stayed there by default

And what's even more hilarious is that they heavily supported 'She Wolf' and it didn't go top 3(?) and then they supported 'Did It Again' and it flopped! I hope her next proper UK release can go #1 again with no support!

Radio 1 fail so much sometimes.

Actually I believe Shontelle had the highest new entry. Those songs had already been out and you could tell none would climb. Obviously Maroon 5 should have been 29 places higher with Misery that week :P

Make You Feel my love was one of my most hated songs of 2010 along with Pack Up and The Club Is Alive.

Davidson I was joking.

Did you not see my prediction after?

Anyway..

Tasteless? We could go with loads of song titles that would be 'tasteless', got nothing to do with 9/11 any of these songs.
