I've just realised that Adam Levine could potentially knock himself off #1 in a few weeks' time if A) Sak Noel doesn't hold on for 2 weeks and B) Gym Class Heroes beat Matt Cardle to #1. It doesn't really count though since he's only a solo artist on one of them.

That's pretty impressive, I remember reading that Dave Grohl almost replaced himself twice at the top of the then Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart; there was a spell when songs by Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age (all of which he featured in) had a run of eighteen weeks at #1 with only one week for Saliva (yeah, I've never heard of them either) interrupting in the middle:

"You Know You're Right" by Nirvana, 4 weeks at #1

"All My Life" by Foo Fighters, 10 weeks at #1

(Saliva for one week)

"No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age, 4 weeks at #1.

That's made slightly less impressive by the fact it's a genre-exclusive airplay chart, but still.

Yay for 'Moves Like Jagger'. Surely if it's going to hang around in the top 5 for a while, it's a contender for an X-Factor appearance. I mean it'd be Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera - both big American artists - and the song is becoming ever popular. I definitely think an appearance on the final is a possibility.

I think a boost from the show in any form (contestant performing it, background music, whatever) may give it the lift it needs to finally get to #1. It'd have to be in the next couple of weeks though, or it would get in the way of one of Cowell's artists. I'd imagine he won't want a repeat of the "Happy"/"Meet Me Halfway" situation, so that rules out anyone releasing a single the same week as a former contestant (and probably Noel Gallagher given his album is up against Matt's, although he'd be wildly unlikely to go on anyway) from performing.

What would be the point in it being on the final (4 months after the song's release)?

"The Flood" was on enough weeks after it came out  MLJ is a very obvious group performance if they're still doing those.

Please tell me nothing is released tomorrow so "MLJ" can go to #1!

Unfortunately there's Sak Noel :puke2:

The Flood was only performed a second time because they weren't allowed to perform Kidz, wasn't it?

Unfortunately there's Sak Noel :puke2:

Someone should rename this thread 'SAK NOEL IS RELEASED TOMORROW' because so many people seem to be forgetting that

I'm preparing to ranting about another crap no.1 if that Noel person gets to number 1 and over MLJ again :(

MLJ will probably finally get to #1 the week after next unless Sak Noel can hold on or Florence + The Machine's new one is big enough (both of which seem highly unlikely)

That's assuming Sak even gets to #1, I'm no longer convinced he will. :(

 I wonder why people forget? I assume it's because it's not a BIG NAME release like we've had the last few weeks (Dappy, One Direction, Pixie, Example, Olly, etc). I pray it's because it isn't popular because it's terrible but I know that's just not true :(

I would be happy to have Sak Noel OR Maroon 5 number one next week. I think that MLJ has missed it's chance now, but I think Stereo Hearts could get there (and that has a rap in it sooo... :P)

82. Listen (From "Dreamgirls") - Beyoncé

Anyone know why this is back? (Second version at #164 and third at #239 also)

'Fake' songs in the top 300:

105. Stereo Hearts - Hits Now!

109. Crazy People (CLEAN Version) - Sensato Pitbull Sak Noel

150. Stereo Hearts - My Hearts A Stereo

162. Lighters - Sky Full Of

251. Stereo Hearts (Tribute to Gym Class Heroes [feat. Adam Levine]) - 2011 Music Hitz

281. Jar of Hearts - #1 Christina Perri Tribute

Also, I wonder how many people who bought this thought it was Loca People?

283. Este Es Mi Club (Este Es Mi Fiesta Club Mix) [feat. Xana] - Sak Noel

I can't see Loca People being #1. I think it'll just be another Like A G6/TiK ToK that hangs around for ages but "only" breaks the top five.
LISTEN  My favourite Beyonce song, glad to see it back up there even if we have no idea why  Maybe it's 79p or 59p?

I wish Cry (Just a Little) by Bingo Players - currently at #44 - was top 40.

That song is very catchy.

It's either Sak Noel or Maroon 5 / Christina Aguilera for #1 next week. I'm hoping 'Moves Like Jagger' can finally reach the peak, even if it's just for a week. It all depends on whether the people buying the fake versions are the same people hoping to buy the original, and whether or not the EP sells enough. I'm torn, to tell the truth, 'Loca People' had been getting a fair bit of R1 support; which'll no doubt have done it the world of good.
Anything but Moves Like Jagger for number 1 please and thank you. :cheer:

 689. Avril Lavigne - Wish You Were Here

This needs to go higher.
