Because people who think their opinion is fact annoy me.

Ordinarily I'd agree but on this occasion it IS a fact.

(In case you can't tell I am joking, but in all seriousness it's rather upsetting that people can prefer RTW(G) to FY in my opinion)

I agree you have a right to your opinion, but your taste is appalling if you think Run The World (Girls) is a better song than Fix You :P
Because people who think their opinion is fact annoy me.

My first point was to T Boy, I then started a new paragraph to give my opinion on what was being discussed.

I'm not quite sure why I'm explaining myself here, I believe RTW is the better song.

Erm, I didn't give any facts in that quote whatsoever. And besides wasn't it last week you had a go at me for 'having a problem with Bre's opinion on Maroon 5'? Which incidentally I don't, but no one here expresses their opinion as fact more than him (and we know it's his opinion anyway so why should we care?) and yet you have a go at me? If I didn't know any better I'd think you didn't like me....

Whist I think it's a shame that Maroon 5 might miss the top spot again for their sixth consecutive week, if 'Moves Like Jagger' did get to #1 it'd just continue the hidiously boring chain of one week #1 singles.

Therefore (and I said this the week 'Umbrella' was released in 2007) I'd much rather see 'We Found Love' get to no. 1 because it's got a much greater chance of actually spending ** gasp ** two weeks at no. 1 and not tail off like some of the previous six UK #1 singles have. So yes, Rihanna for #1 please and possibly stay at the top for up to 3 weeks possibly. Then if they get Rihanna on X Factor, that'll boost its sales. Then there's the music video premier. The timing of this release is brilliant so kudos to Island.

I only 'express my opinion as fact' in a jokey way when I hold extremely strong views on things.

People like russt in the 'Least Favourite Song of 200x' threads who seem to genuinely believe their opinion is fact are bigger 'offenders' in this regard :P

Regardless of who's #1 this week I don't think Rihanna will beat Matt/GCH to #1 next week bar the extremely unlikely chance of her appearing on X Factor. These 4 days of sales will detract massively from her sale next week and she'll be another case of Born This Way syndrome except with a chance of actually making #1. So I think the 1-week #1s will continue for a bit longer. WFL could return to #1/get to #1 for the first time at a later date though.

I can think of about a trillion songs that are better than that dire noise. worst song of the year by far. :puke:

On topic...

I hope this becomes a huge hit!

As do I. I'm not suggest anyone has a go at you for it or anything but I don't know why Klumzee keeps giving me all this grief for things a lot of other posters do. And something I didn't even do in that post.

Bleurgh.

All you lovers of critically-acclaimed music can happily ponder the deep intellectuality of Fix You while Blob, Liam and I shall get down on the floor to the hot shizz that is Run The World (Girls) :P

'Deep intellectuality'? No, it's just a much better song. 'Intellectuality' and critical acclaim are the absolute last things I care about with regards to my music taste.

Yes Fix You is MUSICALLY better but some people prefer RTW. Hot shizz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> overrated guitar ballads.

I just realised that sounded ALOT like something Shelli would say :(

But to put things straight, I'd rather listen to Run The World (Girls) any day than Fix You (which is good nonetheless)

 Gotta love this whole 'Run The World (Girls)' Vs 'Fix You' debate.

That's like comparing eating pizza to eating lard (or something like this).

Oh, for the record I'm defo team Coldplay on this. :P

In your opinion. Other may just think its shite and not to their taste musically

Hey, I've found a version of 'Run The World (Girls)' that fixes both of its major flaws:

A) It has no Beyoncé ranting over the top of it

B) It's not messy as shit

Here it is:

:D

BOTH songs are shit. NEXT!

Which is better 'Someone Like You' by Adele or 'Get Busy' by Sean Paul?
