The fake version is now up to #21. I wonder how high it'll get? It has two more days before the real version comes out, it could get close to the top 10 and might seal a top 40 entrance this week anyway. Apart from 'When Love Takes Over' which did the same thing have there been any other songs where two different versions entered the top 40 for the first time on the same week?

I really think everyone is massively overestimating Rihanna, I don't think it'll even be close. I don't even think Rihanna has #2 in the bag, I can see her entering at 3 or even 4 this week. We'll see very soon I guess though!

I think it will fly to iTunes #1, which probably means #2 officially this week. At what point in the week was "When Love Takes Over" released? That's the best comparison I can think of.

 

Next week should be fascinating as you've got Rihanna who'll most likely be out ahead but may get sucked in again like "Born This Way" did, plus Matt Cardle and Gym Class Heroes. Maroon 5 could finally claim #1 after seven weeks in the top 3 and then immediately drop to #4 :lol:

Okay, sales were probably higher that week than they're likely to be this week, but that should be mostly offest by Rihanna releasing 3 days later.

 

WLTO was released on the Thursday evening if I recall correctly. And Sexy Bitch was released on the Friday.

Maybe one day in the future we'll see a 'Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera feat. Example, Pixie Lott, One Direction, Dappy, Sak Noel, Rihanna and Calvin Harris' which goes to #1 and everyone will be happy :D

That didn't get released mid week. Well the Brit awards version was, but them sales were combined with the originals sales so it had like double the amount of sales...
